Emergency Alarm at 3pm

All those with secret phones be aware that these will go off even if on silent. They need to be turned off.

I wonder how many will be found out to have hidden phones

On a serious note - if you keep one because you are in an abusive relationship, make sure it’s switched off at 3pm.

Oh god no, I am sick of hearing it on the news programs. I was hoping not to hear it again

Seemed to not work on lots of phones. My son's never sounded the alarm either.

Glasgow ish

The entire 3 network didn't receive the alert as did parts of Vodafone.

According to press reports.

Mine didn't go off either.

On a side note, if you can't prevent it going off, that wouldn't help you during a terrorist shooting such as the Bataclan or something like that when the advice the government give is to hide and put your phone on silent.

With all alerts off, extreme alerts etc nothing rang. We tested the entire house with phones being off. Nothing happened.

However I have noticed in my apps a new extreme alert app where I cannot alter the settings

I was in Tesco at Perth in Scotland, not one phone went off, maybe its a device for Englanders only, either that or it is a drastic failure.
