Do people have 'go to' meals before meets / parties etc?

Garlic and curry seem obvious no's (for me) but I wondered what other things people restricted?

Pure nosiness & a bit of fun

Garlic is an interesting choice before a meet. Personally I like it

Mainly under the bed...

I tend to skip my regular go to meal; no one wants the after effects of a violent vindaloo!

I tend to have soup or some easy and light. I stay away from garlic, curry and onions. I have ibs so anything to cheesey or spicy and I’d be doubled up in pain later and no one wants that at a social. I usually also try to avoid anything with nuts due to the chance of allergies.

Half the time I end up not eating anything before a meet. I'm often nervous so it's better to not bother.

I do however love a mcflurry after a meet, especially if there was a lot of throat action

Agree with others certain foods I avoid for breath and unwanted effects reasons. Something light and easily digested without a strong flavour. Always brush teeth before a meet/I go out anyway.

Yes definitely avoid anything onion/garlic or anything I know that might give me a sore stomach. Nothing too acidic

I don’t eat personally unless it’s someone I am already familiar with and we’re going out together then maybe have something light defo no carbs or dairy though they just leave me feeling rough as toast and garlic if they’re having it too

I eat what I want unless I’m actually meeting someone I know. I have gum usually just in case I get lucky.
