The Sandman and The Chester are both great, so long as you don’t mind meeting your date downstairs and taking them in. At The Sandman you need your room key to use the lift, and at The Chester people would just get lost looking for your room …

I had a meet once in the Station hotel. I had a room and met the couple elsewhere for a drink. When we walked into the hotel we all just got in the lift and went up to my room.... No problem. I also met a couple in town who had a room in Jury's inn, we all wandered in and up to their room with no hassle.
