Seamil hydro is lovely and they have a spa you can treat her too, otherwise Mal Maisonette or the Kimpton in Glasgow city centre are good and you can visit The Ivy for lunch then the Alchemist for some cocktails

Fonab Castle at Pitlochry is a proper 5 star hotel.

Not cheap but I'd definitely recommend it.

Anyone been to Radisson Red for an overnighter? Not too fussed about the spa stuff, just looking for a nice room to be ragdolled in and some drinks.

Bargain!

Was looking at deals with dinner just now. Roughly £140 for 2.

Tell us your secret? Nice hotels are so expensive for a single person so would love any tips on cheaper deals

Lodge on the Loch at Luss is nice. Particularly if you get one of the rooms right on the loch.

The Barony hotel near Peebles in the borders is amazing, it’s expensive but it’s a 5* hotel, they have the Polish sculpture of Scotland.

There’s also a hotel in Peebles itself, also Stobo for a spa experience, the countryside there is fantastic & Peebles is also the home of Scott Brash the show jumper

We stayed in a suite in the Sheraton in Edinburgh. It was really nice and the spa was good. It’s in the heart of Edinburgh so if you wanted to go out etc there’s loads you can do

Last month we stayed at the luxury hideaways near Dundee. That was lovely for chilling out. There’s nothing really nearby.

As for the radisson red we went to one of the skybar events and booked a room + ticket package. It’s a nice hotel and the skybar is nice but the rooms are quite small.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations.. I’ve looked at so many I’m getting hotel fatigue lol.

A friend recommended the George hotel in Inveraray.. anyone been.. looks quaint . She likes the older style hotels . Something with a bit of character.. she often goes to stobo with a friend.. so she’s just looking for a comfortable stay with good food buzzing atmosphere , oh an a few shops to browse lol .

Thanks again for your assistance .

In the west.

What about one of the islands? It's fairly easy to drive to Skye.

I feel sorry for those who booked big events such as weddings, it was a lovely venue. I've been to the spa a few times
