Bucket list

Paisley

I recently went to Ayr races thanks to my lovely friends LassnGuy which was something I had on my Bucket List. I’ve been lucky enough to go to the greyhound racing, speedway, rugby, ice hockey, train over the Glenfinnan viaduct, train journey somewhere new - I went to Thurso and some others.

Some ideas I got from the last time I posted this about 5 years ago so what are your non-Fab bucket list items?

I’d love to do Breakfast at Tiffany’s, afternoon tea at the Savoy, go to the Rocky Horror show dressed up and I’ll add a few more to keep life interesting.

I’d love to go on the Orient Express. It’s so expensive though. I love the Art Deco period.

Never been one for Bucket Lists. The thing that did grab my interest recently however was a "50 at 50" list. I've got 4 and a bit years to work on it.

Mine started originally as things to do before I was 50 but had an operation so couldn’t do most of it. Fortunately some Fab friends have helped me achieve many of the things on my list.

I can’t do 55 things before I’m 55 but maybe manage 60 things before I’m 60. I’ll need to work on that list. What’s in your 50 at 50 list? x

Think you might be able to fulfill your rocky horror dream as they are touring this year with the 50th anniversary show. Plus the Aberdeen meet up group fab summer social in August is RH fancy dress themed if you fancied a road trip!

I’ve done Dresden to Berlin last year on the train and this year I’m doing Amsterdam to Baden-Baden and then Berlin on the train. Looking forward to it.

There’s some great tickets for travelling through Europe.

That sounds like a plan. I was there last August and it was great fun. Do you have the date for it yet?

I have gone from Thessaloniki to Athens, they scenery was amazing.

I'm thinking about the north of Spain down to the south, with a couple of stops, this year.

I've not started it yet. You know my situation, and I need to get back into the right headspace before I think about anything like that.

Knowing my luck, I'll be 50, before I realise it lol

I want to wander round the city. People watch in patisseries.

Have a passionate, intense and short lived affair with a poet or artist.

Of course my lovely it is on Saturday 12th August. There is a thread for it on here already as they just started selling tickets. I am the sister of Rebel one of the organisers so will be travelling up for it again from Yorkshire. I was Amy Winehouse last year (or fat Amy as I affectionately called myself!). Lol. Would be nice to see you there again x

We could try and do some that are manageable for the rest of the year.

If I did one every month from now until I’m 60 then I’d have done 60 things. Some will be more achievable than others.

There's places I'd like to visit - Vegas, Egypt, New Orleans for Mardi Gras, Hawaii, Paris. We're going to the Maldives for our 50th

Experiences - a hot air balloon trip, fly a plane, drive Route 66, go to San Diego Comic Con, see the Aurora Borealis. There's probably more but that's just off the top of my head
