Yes, we went to insomnia when there. Good club. Would go back.

It's a very walkable city, I wouldn't bother with the bus tour.

Do all the usual touristy stuff, Brandenburg gate, checkpoint Charlie, reichstag etc.

Go up the big tower, amazing view and you can get a beer at the top.

Also visit the KaDeWei. Biggest shopping centre in Europe and has a great food hall at the top.

Rausch chocolate shop is amazing too.

Yes, second that, Insomnia is a decent club. Plenty of male and female pornstars employed to lead the action upstairs and a decent trance soundtrack from the dj downstairs to hit you in the loins with.

Touristy wise depends what you want to see, I would suggest the green bus tour that you can jump on and off as yes it’s very easy to get round but that’s only useful if you know where to go and see,

One attraction that is actually really good is time ride Berlin which is a virtual reality tour, when I was there is was a tour of the eastern side during the 80s.

A big niche, but we really enjoyed the DDR Museum about life in Soviet era East Berlin/East Germany. Really interesting seeing the Cold War from the other side. https://www.ddr-museum.de/en

Not long back from my 5th visit. Fantastic city. What are you looking to do? Touristy or clubs?

Within a few minutes of leaving the main train station you could walk past The Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate and Holocaust Memorial.

I felt like I'd done half my sightseeing in five minutes.

There's a fantastic beer garden in Tiergarten near the zoo.

It's called something like, "Cafe Nuansee?"

Karaoke at Mauer Park looks fun but it wasn't on when I was there due to covid.

I didn't visit clubs but did research. The bouncers at Kitkat are super selective about who gets in.

Enjoy.

Go to Hohenschoenhausen (Stasi prison), East Berlin, a very eye opening experience well worth it. Sachsenhausen concentration camp, in Oranienburg.

TV tower in East Berlin, The GDR museum, the holocaust memorial, right next to the Brandenburg gate, the Reichstadt right across from the brandenburg gate. If you go right walk straight down the hill as you leave main exit of Freidrichstrasse hauptbanhof, that will take you right down to Checkpoint Charlie.

There’s also a bunker tour you can do which is still in pristine condition, we just happened upon it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info.

I forgot to mention, there is a travel card (I honestly can’t remember what it’s called) that allows you to use the public transport in Berlin. Ubahn, Sbahn, busses, and trams.

Berlin is amazing, everything is done on the honour system. When I checked out my hotel they asked what I had used from the mini bar, and they don’t check tickets on the public transport. I bought a 4 day welcome card with the museums and attractions add ons, was well worth it. Also, very few places take cards, they are a huge cash only system. Have fun, you’ll love it.

I enjoyed the bus tour but that’s mainly because I can’t walk much. I do the bus tour everywhere I go as the guides are usually very informative and takes you places you wouldn’t normally go to at times.
