First time at event

Hey all, looking to attend my first event soon and just a little bit shy/nervous about it. With being so young I guess. Is there anything I should know before attending etc? Or any others have recommendations on where to go? Thanks

Angus & Findhorn

Be confident, remember it was everyone’s first event at some point.

Don’t drink too much, there are some socials I attended years ago I can’t remember leaving

Don’t expect sex, it’s a bonus if it happens but expand your network for the next time.

Good luck, hope it goes well.

What event is it? There is often pre drinks so you can go along and meet people first.

That’s great thank you!

I don’t usually drink so that will be limited if anything.

I do only intend to go for the networking side of it to introduce myself as new to this. (Been a member for almost a year I believe but still not got round to getting involved)

I haven’t decided yet. It would most likely be cj’s or after dark as I’m open to anything really. Whatever can accommodate work commitments.

What kind of event is it? Music? Sex? If you think you’re too young, maybe you shouldn’t be here, people can tell the difference between nerves and having no confidence. And don’t drink to get confidence because that doesn’t work

Would just be a club event through this. Not too do with not being confident just nervous is all. I mean I’m bold enough to put a pic on my profile yet half the site don’t.. but just looking for recommendations etc is all

Best thing to do is go to a pre drinks, get to know some people, then go on to the club with them, don’t go with any expectations other than having a nice night & meeting some new people. If anything else happens great, if not that’s ok too, as it will probably happen next time.

"Would just"

As for your back, a physio would probably be better than a massage

First time I went to CJs was solo so I totally understand the apprehension. Everyone is really friendly so just treat it like a social and don't go with expectations of having a fuck fest. Enjoy yourself, meet new people and just see how the night goes .

That’s great thanks. I think that’s all my mindset would be. Appreciate the help. Also I’ll look into a physio for the back x

That’s great to hear thank you. Was unsure of what the vibe would be like with everyone knowing each other already etc. thanks for clearing it up

If you scroll through the forum there is a social event planned for After Dark mid march which may help with those initial nerves as I imagine most people at the social will stay for the club at night.

Other than that do look for the pre-drinks organized as it could make it easier going in with someone
