Do bear in mind that once you have opted to take a dog the the Outer or Inner Hebrides... you have decided to take them to islands where there are few fences and many, many free-ranging sheep.

While you might well find accommodation that is happy for you to bring your dog... most of the crofters, farmers, sheep, tupps and lambs will not welcome the sight of your dog unless it is firmly on a leash.
