Friday 10th March @ Ayr Racecourse.

We are going to go, how could we not be tempted when it's named Fab Friday.

Is anyone else going or considering it?

Nor has Lass so you wouldn't be only 1. Guy hasn't been for many years.

Maybe we will see you there

First half of March is turning into a Scottish Horse Racing Month for me.

I'm lucky to own a small share in a few racehorses.

One is running at Musselburgh on Wednesday 1st March.

Another is running at Kelso on Saturday 4th March.

And then the Main Event ...Fabbers Fun Day Out at Ayr on Friday 10th March .

Looking forward to meeting Fab Friends, existing and new Friends still to be made , at Ayr.

Once you have your Ayr race day tickets, please let me know so we can be sure of meeting up on Friday 10th.

I have a betting system on the horses, particularly suited to the ladies..

Ask me about it at the start of racing at Ayr on Friday 10th March ....

As a member I go to most of the meetings.. there's racing on Saturday too, 11th I'm sure. The races at Ayr used to be the best night out in the west. Gold cup and Scottish national Fridays and Saturdays. Champagne bar was always entertaining lol.

We have shown interest but not committed yet... little calendar shuffle required to make it.

Back on topic... getting little excited for my (Lass) first day at the horses

Is it an all day thing? Like early in the morning?

Do you need a ticket?

Usually racing starts at 120pm ish gates open from 10 / 11am typically. Between 6 and 8 races depending on the meeting etc .. so might last through to 5 6pm .. I'd think you'll get a ticket at the gate for this meeting.

There are evening meetings in the summer racing starts at 5/6 at 8/9 with lots of entertainment inside until midnight odd .. great evenings ! Saints and sinners meeting at Ayr some years ago Alexandra Burke played outside and it was a balmy warm night, cracking night that was, and if you win money it's all free .. lol

"Is it an all day thing? Like early in the morning?

To answer your specific questions about Ayr races on Friday 10th March:

1) Gates open at 11:30 am.

2). First race begins at 1:30 pm.

3). Yes you need a ticket.

4). Tickets can be purchased online directly from the Ayr Racecourse website.

The Ayr website has further details and information about the 10th March Meeting ...and every other Ayr meeting in 2023.

.

See plenty of other Fabbers there for a great Social Day Out? xx

Only as I went to book my ticket for Friday, did I see that Ayr Racecourse itself calls the race meeting " Fab Friday " !

If only they knew the truth... Or do you think some of the Racecourse organisers are Fabbers too ? Lol )))

Yes, there are 3 main options of Scottish racecourses further ' East':-

Musselburgh, Kelso and Perth.

We could always go to a track on the east coast sometime. "

I’ve already been to a Steeplechase in Kelso, years ago, that was fun! Unfortunately my horse fell at the first jump, the horse I wanted to back won moral of the story never listen to your sister!

Pretty sure you'll get a ticket at the kiosk opposite McDonald's on the day. Always last minute with me due to weather so that's what I do.

Hence the OP commenting on FabFriday at Races and why we are attending.

Not sure if organisers are on Fab leading to name but there are a few horses scheduled to run that are fef tongue in cheeck for lifestyle.

Lol x

Just remember you still have that other winning slip to collect
