Hey everyone what pubs are good to go to in Ayr at a weekend heading up there for a night out x

In the west.

I agree Prestwick is much better, a good mix of pubs and places to eat. Even the Spoons is better than most other places.

Ayr is just rundown now and has been neglected by the council.

Prestwick is great , some superb pubs catering for all age ranges ! Troon is getting a little better too ! It used to be like Prestwick is now 10+ years ago !

Guess the pub culture is dying off a little !

Going by your age and interests on profile, Prestwick all day long bud I'm ex Ayr and used to go out in Prestwick every weekend had lots of fun nights

Avoid Prestwick like the plague. It is awash with drugs and the toilets are a mess with it in most of the pubs, fights every weekend, taken over by the young team such that all my Prestwick pals head to Ayr or stick to pioneer.. so much so there's a campaign beginning shortly to get the council to do something about it. Go to Ayr. Much better age group in tbar twa dugs ghillie dhu.

Ten years ago Prestwick was awesome folks would come from Glasgow to a night down the strip ! When Elliots was in its first incarnation, not now .. after CB chased the young crowd. Once it's tidied up it'll be better again.
