Wouldn’t worry about training. It’s only a walk.

Somewhere over there

"If anyone is doing any training give me a shout I may join along with yo "

The Glasgow one isn’t bad as it’s mostly canal path from Glasgow green to balloch. Incline isn’t high either. Walking shoes/trainers will be ok (but NOT new ones!) if carrying a bag, have wide straps. Bring a change of shoes (even flip flops for the end-it’s good to get out the ones you’ve used) there’s plenty stops for snacks

Dundee one is ok but the first section into Tentsmuir takes a LOT out of your ankles, so definitely boots for that one. The bridge section takes you by surprise as in your mind it’s short (when you go by car!) but different when walking over :D

First year we did this-drove up from Glasgow, did the 26 miles then drive home :O learnt lesson to stay overnight!

Did the Aberdeen one-again first 2 miles are ALL uphill through forestry trail but then evens out to canal & road paths. Route itself is nice though. But you can stop as often as you need and the Kilties (volunteers/first aiders) are there to support you.

We’re doing the Edinburgh one in Sept so it’s our last site. Looking at site info, it’s coastal so imagine some incline but will be pleased to get it done. Doing 16 mile (middle distance)

Millie & Ian x
