Is it against the rules on here to show non-fab members someone's pics? I've been messaging a guy for a few days & we swapped face pics. Today I got a text from a male friend, he was in a pub & a guy was bragging about 'a bird he's meeting off a sex site' & showed him my pics. I'm really angry I like to keep my private life private but is this just a chance you take when swapping face pics or can I do anything about the dickhead who has all but ruined fab for me?

Unfortunately it's a risk of sharing face pics on here. Sometimes it's hard to judge that you're chatting to a prick who'd do that.

All you can really do is take solice in the fact you found out before you met. Your only option is, if you are a paid member, you can make your pics dissappear once they _iew them.

That really is a dickish thing to do and a complete breach of trust!! Sorry that has happened to you OP… I wonder if you can report him for that??

Fab is best when it’s two (or more) consenting adults having good times together without judgement. When that circle is broken it can be extremely damaging so I hope you are ok?

Report him to Admin anyway and you can also name and shame him on your profile page so others who see it can avoid him.

Other than that I dont thjink theres much you can do about it. I'm not sure how you can go about filtering out the dickheads.

Its illegal. it would come under the law covering "revenge porn". i'd certainly report his profile to the mods. Though its hard to stop him opening another profile and it may tip him off his friend told someone if that was the only person he showed.

Imho if you've openly posted pictures where you can be identified openly here then you would struggle to argue you were protected by this law - but if you've shared them with this person directly by email,whatsapp,private message or simply by unlocking your private images for that specific user then i believe you're covered.

It sounds like you have dodged a bullet, although he has outted you to a friend by telling him you met on a sex site.

There probably isn't much you can do if it was just a face pic but had it been more explicit then you would have had some recourse.

This is exactly why I try to search for people that were bit away from me in the next town or Glasgow. It just puts that wee bit of distance from home and much lessens the chance of randomly coming across folk you know.

All pictures on the net are copied and shared whether you like it, or its illegal or not .. it happens.

It's not the same man. It's pretty scary to think there's people on here who are known to the police for sexual crimes and even after being reported to admin they remain on here.

Unfortunately life can't always be fair. We do get idiots on every platform. I had a similar experience with a woman. When I called her out about it. It was all denied and the next thing I was the one getting text and threats made to me. Worst was taking my pictures and settling up on around ten sites by a male friend of there's. Two years of hell. That's why my face picture is not on my profile here. Its not worth the hassle of someone that's just a dick. No matter there gender. But look on the bright side. You found out before you got in deeper. Good luck and try not to let it get you down. We are not all like that.
