Well you have to put something in the Forum for people to show an interest in the first place then they can PM if they wish,and no not from any paper,i think someone has sour grapes for it being told like it is.

Still not too clear about the purpose of this thread OP. Is it that folk who work in the emergency services and who don't want to let people in general on the forums know about it, they contact you, someone they've never spoken to before and divulge to you that they are in said emergency services?

PM's are no more intrinsically safe than posting directly on the forums.

Why should you trust anyone you don't know well with info about your employment, dogging sites, gloryholes, etc - just 'cos it's a PM?

I can kinda see that some people have a bit of a fetish about uniforms etc, but so do the media, though why an interest in (say) makes an ambulanceperson newsworthy I can't imagine.

Don't take any chances. It's your job that's at risk.
