Looking at clubs and party options locally, feeling a bit braver but not sure if we’re that brave yet… any tips for potential first timers?

The biggest piece of advice I would give is simply to put your worries aside: any time I’ve visited a Scottish club, I’ve always felt welcome and accepted, and that’s a single man, usually (occasionally as half of a couple). From a quick glance at your profile/photos, I can pretty much guarantee that everyone will be glad to see you and your partner there.

It’s always going to be a little daunting doing something new for the first time (it certainly was for me), but the thing to remember is that everyone is there to have a good time, and that you are in control at all times: you are free to socialise gregariously, or you are free to sit and chat to your partner; you are free to wander and watch, there is no expectation on you to play or not, it’s your choice. If you do play, you are free to ask people, they are free to ask you, you are free to accept or turn them down, as are they. You can play in private, or in public: it is all entirely up to you.

Everyone has different opinions of the same thing .

Clubs really aren’t intimidating once inside and some nights are better than others , generally depending on who is there

Just go for it there no pressure go in and see there after dark with used to be the after eight club which I had been to a few times

Then in Glasgow there cj's switch is good as well check them back them both out and even give them both a go
