Bathgate

Saw an article in Daily record today that a venue in Sighthill is looking to open up as a swinging club.

Is this the new after 8 venue or another separate club?

This is a question I was gonna ask as someone who's not local to Edinburgh at all, and very unfamiliar with it (really only ever up the way to go to the showground). How safe is that area say as a solo female staying at the premier inn? Looks like a 10-15 min walk but would that be OK or is that asking to get stabbed..?

You're far more at risk from neds in the city centre than a more or less completely deserted industrial area... all the streets are lit, and there's a min road round the corner...

Mixed feedback, fair. Thank you maybe see where I'm at nearer time when I can go visit - maybe be enough folk kicking about that I could scadge a lift back up to the main road or something.

As an industrial estate it used to be really bad for boy racers, but the Police had tried to quell that.

Outside the Industrial estate may be the usual sorta rougher area, but within it I'd say you're safe. If in doubt, book an Uber.

It's not that bad I stay up the road from Sighthill and I am hoping to go along soon.

As a local I would still be looking at a taxi up that way.. no hanging around for a bus thats for sure..

Edinburgh

The walk from Premier Inn follows the brightly lit tramline/path. Although a busy industrial estate day time it’s not totally deserted at night. Two of Edinburgh’s biggest taxi firms have dispatch call centres in the estate too.
