Two DJs in Australia will be pretty sheepish now I bet. The poor woman went into work that day just as normal and was on the end of a sick prank, which has tipped her over the edge. Pair of numbskulls.

numbskulls who may still be made to stand before a court on high treason charges case is being examined just now by procurator fiscal offices according to news sources

The Radio Station website is carrying nothing on it, although before the news broke of the suicide it was plastered all over it that it was the "biggest and best prank ever", still no apology from the station, hope someone burns the building to the ground

The woman was clearly in a bad way before this had happened ... she wasnt reprimanded in any way, no complaints were made, she didnt disclose any information only answered the phone. The Palace themselves laughed at the prank as did Prince Charles when interviewed the other day... I am sorry the woman took her own life but I doubt this was the main cause.

Ok it might not have been the main cause but it may have pushed her over the edge.

As for her not being reprimanded, anyone who is a health professional will tell you that's bullshit, it's in the nmc code about confidentiality, not to mention the law. Dont believe what the hospital is saying in that respect!

we have all listened to crank calls on the radio and the TV this one was no different the people who are at fault are the clowns who gave out the info, yes its a shame somebody has lost there life but in no way was it the pranksters fault, life would be shit if we cant have a laugh and all humour no matter what subject is down to someone elses misfortune or bad luck. Will this incident stop all practical jokes it most certainly wont the media will plug this to the limit blaming the two presenters, dothey deserve to loose there jobs over this in my opinion NO WAY but suppose somebody will be along shortly and say differently and thats the freedom of free speach so let the topic roll on and everyone have there say

Well actually impersonating someone to get information is fraud, no 2 ways about it. They obtained medical information by deception. So they are as much at fault as the staff who gave it out

I personally think there is more to it than meets the eye. I cant believe why anyone would commit suicide through a prank like that. Lets face it we have all played pranks in our lives but we never expect something like that to happen when we did....i dont expect the DJS did either. It was a joke...a bad one which should never have taken place with a tragic outcome but there must have been something more to it i reckon. I mean have u heard the tape??? It sounds nothing like the Queen and im sure the Queen would get a member of staff to call the hospital for her and not herself. Prince Philips voice and antics were unbelievable too.

All that said i have lots of sympathy for the girl and her family and friends.

I think it's a wee bit too early to be so specific in saying the lady was in a bad way, as theres no evidence at all on that and its speculation on your part. And on the issue of her not being reprimanded. This is the hospital where the future Kings wife is in, they would have been mortified and fookin incandescent with rage and anger. And we all know that anger ussally means someone takes the brunt of that anger and you better believe it would have been the nurse.

She has had that pressure as well as every other person person saying how stupid could she was on her shoulders....the girl has obvioulsy taken this incident and its ramifications personally.

It's such a shame, poor woman's family

I admit prank calls are funny, from what I heard this one was too but media made a big thing of it, plus no one knows what been said by her bosses or royal aids in the hospital.

Just shows the world we live in, anything is possible, some shit u couldn't have even imagined

Prayer with her family, bad enough losing loved one anytime but this time year seems to be different xx

It would appear that the call was a major factor, it is reported that since the call she was lost and confused.

prank calls are common all over the world on radio stations, suicides relating to them i can only assume are not. the radio station could not have foreseen this. if no death had came from it then most people would find it childish and funny, as i did. yes its a shame but i wouldnt say that the dj,s are to blame. no one knows what events had followed this nurse in her work or private life since the incident, and tbh, if you worked somewhere that the queen had a valid reason for contacting your place of work and you answered a call form who you believed to be the queen...how many can honestly say they would hang up, put her on hold or say,,,aye right is this a wind up!!!!

all she done was take a call as most nurses do on wards. it was after this event it all went nuts and the hospital etc started shouting about reviews on privacy and standards etc!!! as usual in this country it takes a weird and sorrowful event to make people listen and start going on about reforms and reviews. the nurse committed suicide and only she knew why, to blame others is outrageous.

its a twisted and tragic event and as with most suicides, the truth is never known.

The Dj's have to shoulder some of the blame of that I have no doubt. Tbh I take issue with the fact that they made a prank call to a hospital, sorry, that isn't acceptable, the same as its not acceptable to make prank phone calls to emergency services.

The other consideration is the form this radio station has for this kind of stuff. Previously another pair of dj's from this station called a 14 yr old girl, told her she was being monitored by a lie detector then started asking about her having sexual relations, the girl had been raped when she was 12 and this was broadcast live.

ffs, where they aware of the rape, now thats a bit harsh,,,,,,robin galloway has suspended his crank calls for now.

i dont think phoning a hospital is as bad as phoning the emergency services, i had a friend who worked on a ward before and id phone in daft voices asking things i knew was topical at the time.

thats the trouble with pranks of any nature, you never know the outcome, like the mock one on fb where the girl gets freaked out in her house, runs outside thinkin an intruders in her house, she gets hit with a car in the street. now thats designed to make you think that not every prank has a happy ending as such. looking at it seriously,,,would you think a wee phone call to ask of someones wellbeing in hospital would lead to suicide??? nope, its what came next im assuming as we dont know what events came next.

they werent aware fo the rape, but given the girls was 14, and they did know her age) well think that speaks volumes for the moral attitudes of this station.

I think nurses have a hard enough job already than having to put up with pish like that TBH.

Difference between you doing it and them, was you knew the person you were phoning and could reasonable judge how they would react.
