Cycling group

Maybe a bit random, but I’m a keen cyclist and wonder if anybody would be interested in forming a cycling group. Meet for a social ride and coffee type group who have a few shared interests? I’m based in fife, but would love to explore some other areas with like minded folks. Mixed group is what I’m thinking.

As I say, maybe a bit random but thought I’d ask and see if there is any interest.

Hi, I know you are looking for a mixed group which would obviously be perfect, so hopefully others will be interested. I am a keen cyclist and out most days, but virtually 100% off road these days.I would be interested in this if it got off the ground though

Doesn’t look like there is much interest to be honest. Will be doing the rgt breakfast ride tomorrow at 6am if anybody fancies a virtual spin

I really need to get back on it. I've got a zwift subscription that I haven't used in 3 months. Not been out on the bike in 2 months.

I got knocked over a bonnet and found out my then wife was having an affair the same day last summer and it all really knocked my confidence. This was all when I lived in north Wales, I moved up here in January so that hasn't helped as well.

Usually cycle around the Stirling/Clackmannanshire/Falkirk areas, occasionally head into Fife as far as Dunfermline.

Decent routes round here and able to clock up decent distances without going to far afield.

So now there is an interest. How do we move this on? Organise a cycle meet? No expectation of fun. Just a few friends out for a cycle. See how it goes and move in from there? Any other suggestions?

Anyone thinking it's ok to judge or set the velomati rules needs a long hard think....

Tell that to the old man in too much Lycra who told me to get a proper bike… I was 24 miles into a 36 mile round trip and I wanted to get the train the rest of the way home!

I love my bike - to many incidents with pedestrians during covid made me get an inside trainer for it and I’m not make it back out since
