Can anyone recommend anywhere good to stay for going to CJs? Approx £100 a night. Thinking a private room in an Airbnb prob best thing for that budget.

Anywhere central you can get for under the £100 will do fine.

The place I normally use (Travelodge) is normally £70-£95 for the single night, dependant on the demand.

It's a simple taxi ride to it, of £5-£10, or you could get the cheaper option of an Uber.

Trivago is your friend.

Book as early as you can, some nights recently have been extortionate.

There's also the Holiday Inn Express at the top of West Nile Street, that's the closest as a taxi ride from there would only take minutes x

We didn’t book CJs in time so on the reserve list but are out in town anyway. Checked hotels and everywhere seems oddly more expensive than normal. Kevin bridges is on at the hydro.

BINGO! All the mainline and fairly central places will be totally booked out.

Even EasyHotel is £109 then. Rip-off for a bed and bathroom in a shoebox.

Easy hotels are by far the biggest rip off going.

We usually stay at a premier in or village hotel

We have stayed at the moxy and have booked the easy hotel this time...although the rooms look quite small. End of the day it's only somewhere to rest our weary heads x

After my last experience there, I'll never go back.

A "window" room and the window was 8 feet off the ground, but also only bout 4 inches high and 2 feet wide. The room was partially under the emergency exit stairs, and people seemed to be using them casually, so lots of metal stair noises.

Lastly other guest trying to get into my room at 4am while very noisy and very d*unk. After a quick discussion and telling them they were on the wrong floor, they asked me to help carry their overly-d*unk friend to their room.

Not been back since. Travelodge generally worked out at £5 more expensive, and you had so much more thrown in.

City centre is fine. Just check before you book as it’s easy for the booking sites to drop in some further away options. There are fewer AirBnBs due to new regulations.

We managed to get a room in the Travelodge for £89 and it’s not far from CJ’s
