“Happy Fabbing”

I just read this on a profile:

“Please don’t be offended if we respond with a message ending in happy fabbing (I think most of you will know what this means)”

I thought it genuinely meant GLHF!

… but it means - nae chance?

Is there a code? Or are they talkin shite?

My guess would be reading between the lines, move along not for me and have fun. But only giving it thought as you brought it to attention.

In the random instances I’ve received a polite ‘no thanks’ it’s ended with happy fabbing.

Defo means good luck; not interested. Lols

I did not know this. I'm gonna randomly start using it mid conversation just to see what happens.

I use it a lot, I'll say 'its a no from me, happy fabbing'. By that I mean that they're not what I'm looking for and no hard feelings

"I use it a lot, I'll say 'its a no from me, happy fabbing'. By that I mean that they're not what I'm looking for and no hard feelings

"

This exactly. If they have put in a decent message but not for me then il add happy fabbing to end the conversation to say bye politely

I usually say a polite no thank you and hope you find someone. I might start saying happy fabbing and see what happens

Haha I use Happy fabbing to indicate the end of a chat where it isn’t going anywhere just a well wish that they find what they are looking for

I use it if the chat hasn’t went well or sometimes I’ll say “I’ll keep you in mind”

Whilst I'd assume someone wasn't interested if they ended a message to me saying 'happy fabbing' ,I think its easier to be more direct and I prefer ending a message saying 'not for me but good luck with others' as not everyone reads between the lines.

Just the accepted closing of a message to someone you politely want to say thanks but no thanks…unless they are rude and awful…then get more inventive

Oooops. I’ve used it but meant it as a kinda “take care have fun” meaning. Not “piss off”. No wonder all those women didn’t message back ffs.

"Oooops. I’ve used it but meant it as a kinda “take care have fun” meaning. Not “piss off”. No wonder all those women didn’t message back ffs. "

That's exactly how I use it.

I literally end every single message that I send to folk with happy fabbing, meaning all the best

I guess if I was to receive one back in return then it might mean something totally different.

So it might depend on whether you are sending or receiving
