Did you know the giant beaver was the same size as a man? These things were massive.

I've seen some big beavers but nothing that big, can you imagine the amount of fur?

Anyway, the ice age killed the off.

Shabba.

This is very sound information.

I’ve only seen normal size beavers.

As for the fur, some beavers are hairless. Maybe the giant ones didn’t survive the ice age because they were bald?

Lanarkshire

Although Beavers have been re-introduced to the rivers of Scotland during the last 15 years (particularly the Tay, Isla and Dean) Scotland had a decent population of its own wild Beavers right up until the Medieval Period.

the land of unicorns and fairytales

Cool beaver facts

Beavers eat wood

Beavers are monogamous

Beavers are most active at night

Beavers secrete a vanilla smelling goo from their castor sacks

Contrary to misconception beavers don’t bite of testicles

I've always found them friendly enough.

Never had any issues.

Particularly if you know how to stroke them
