Meeting without pics

My fwb and I are looking to organise a meet this Sunday. We both work in fairly high profile finance jobs and don’t have profile photos. How do others in this situation get around it? Social meets perhaps?

Send private photos and check the box that says ‘delete photos when message is read’.

id never meet without seeing a face pic .

I’d rather spend time meeting someone I’m attracted to that someone I might not be as my time for meeting is limited .

There's plenty of people with "high profile" jobs that are prepared to send photos. You'll not get many people willing to meet blind I'm afraid.

Same, and I'm reluctant to chat to anyone without a single pic on their profile

I didn’t realise you could send photos and they would delete after the person has seen them. But your right in my case high profile should just read I’d get the sack if anyone found out. My fwb I think it applies

Also, unless someone's friend also had a profile on here I wouldn't be meeting either.

The amount of times I've heard 'oh she isn't on here'. Aye, is that right

You think other people wouldn't get the sack? We're all taking a risk here.

This is not derisory answer by no means take this as me being harsh. But my first thought was , what difference does your job have to do with it,are you suggesting the guy in construction work is any less open to. Being spotted and somehow shamed . Just my opinion,Gd OP hope it works out

A year or so back my fwb was my gf and I was self-employed. we had a couples profile, the pictures were almost exclusively of me. We also went to Pandora’s in Leeds. I don’t worry about the shame, it’s entirely about the loss of employment. I would 100% lose my job. I know everyone means well but the tip about sending photos that will delete after the person has read it more or less covers what I needed to know.

Always makes me laugh when it's implied someone has more to loose than anyone else , most folk have jobs , there's folk with kids , family , as stated everyone on here runs that risk in some way or another ,

Plus side for pics I'd say is too minimise that risk if you have private face pics then u can make sure you don't know the person you are about to meet as you never know who could be on here .

The old chestnut of having a fwb that is willing to join , no one I know would believe that off of face value , it has been used far too many times , not even a description of the female with a profile to check out , you'd have to be pretty naive and gullible to believe it IMHO

That doesn't stop people from screenshotting your pics though.

I guess I am pretty naive, I didn’t even consider that. I think we will just go to Cj’s some night that suits.

Also on your meet post , you say must send a face photo , bit of hypocrisy if your not willing to send yours .. why should anyone have to send one to you when the whole point of this thread is how your not willing to send yours !

So you are going to meet someone, who could literally be anyone and have any kind of plans to make your like difficult if you are in a "high powered" job.

But you are too scared to send a face pic, which is perfectly innocent?

I understand you want an argument, I don’t. I don’t have a profile pic but other men with pictures message me often. My fwb likes some of these but wants face pics. So I asked for that. Anyone we will go to bed with we will meet first face to face. But to save disappointment it is easier if we can swap face pics first.

You live in Dalkeith so as you say why not book a hotel in Glasgow for a weekend and go to CJ,s ?? You can meet people socially there and get verified as a couple

another one for an argument. I never said high powered, high profile in that the companies involved are very protective of their image. Anyway I am not here to argue, apologies if anyone took this as a slight, it wasn’t intentioned as one. I was looking for advice on a safe and respectful way to organise a meet while limiting the risk of me losing my job.

Mate you want a lads perspective?

You're profile comes across as bullshit and desperate, you say you have a fuck buddie but you also say you're looking for one. If you're a couple be here as a couple.

Now as for the "high profile job" I am a managing director, I have 3 kids and an ex who would love to use this against me.

I was chatting to someone last week turns out we actually know each other...she's my mates baby mumma and we hate each other.

We laughed n moved on n blocked each other.

Moral of the story is were here for the same thing so stop hiding from the wife and deal with sharing your face

Op if you don’t swap pics how sure would you be that you weren’t arranging to meet a relative, neighbour or work colleague or even your boss ?

It makes more sense to swap those pics to make sure 1.There is an attraction & 2. You ain’t meeting someone who could potentially be one of the above

I'm no wanting an argument but if you don't want others opinions why start a forum thread asking for opinions , so we are only to post on the thread if we agree with you , its a public forum , having a difference of opinion is just that and isn't about starting an argument, but you have to admit staing "must send face photos" when u clearly won't is being hypocritical!!

Some could probably cite gross misconduct for eg in a care field, working with kids etc. Ridiculous but that's the way of it

Same. I won't even open a message from a silhouette profile.

There are ways to have pics without it being recognisable as your face OP.

Does sound like your best option is CJs. Although what if you see someone from work there?

Best of luck!

We all have jobs, we all have a life outside of here.

I’d never meet anyone without seeing a few face pics and I wouldn’t expect anyone to meet me without seeing them either.

Did it twice. Never again. I've face pics on my profile - if they can see me and I can't see them, it's very awkward. One occasion was straight to fun and never to be repeated I can tell you!

Always a social to see if there is an attraction +/- or connection.

the land of unicorns and fairytales

I don’t share pics and have none on my profile you only need to look at my verifications and this is a relatively new profile to see I get meets, a coffee social always works for me and tbh folk who wouldn’t meet anyone for a coffee and a chat without it having to be about attraction aren’t the kinda people I’d likely get along with, I meet guys who do have pics that are not my type at all and most defo not attracted to just because it’s nice to be nice

I don't have any public pictures but that's probably just because I'm far too shy and not entirely body confident, and that's my own personal issue. But if i was speaking to people with the hope of having a meet then I would send pics privately.

For me as a single female in a male orientated career working her ass of to get to where she was and with a very prestigious company that would have destroyed my reputation it was a massive risk for me to have pics online and share and I took the risk and low and behold it backfired on me and then I was threatened with exposure to my employers and the children’s nursery so yeah some people regard their jobs as a lot more difficult to replace than others

Yeah that's one of the areas I mentioned where it could be an issue.

Although I doubt many people would grass someone up to their employer without having to explain how they know about it, wouldn't want to be outed themselves
