Troops, I have been here a while and to be honest have got nowhere. Had a social meet back before lockdown and met a girl off here for a walk. Id consider myself to be easy going, laid back, fun and have manners and good chat.

Where am I going wrong as I am getting nowhere here…

Had a social meet back before lockdown... so 3yrs ago.

As a single male you really need put yourself out there at socials and clubs.

On Fab is extremely difficult without putting a face in person to the profile.

Get out a bit more. Watch these very forums for Social Meetups near your preferred area.

Also think about going to any clubs.

No idea. You're quite handsome and aren't flapping your willy around all over the place. Maybe you've just not been messaging the right people at the right time?

As most have said though there's a lot of competition out there so get yourself along to a club or social, you're guaranteed to meet people and might find it easier to hit it off in person.

Like most on here I have a small group of friends who keep in touch. Broaden your horizons. Update your profile ,, less face pics and more text . Give others a glimpse of who you are and what your looking for. Your profile is the first thing we look at , wish you well .

Not everyone wants to do the club or social scene and shouldn't feel the need to do them .I have know guys throughout my time here that has never been to a club nor a social and it works for them .. its not a one size fits all .

That is very true but he asked best advice to make some traction and pure and simple that is the best way.

Is it a must or only way, no but as Runrig sang...

You'll take the high road and I'll take the low road,

And I'll be in Scotland afore you.

He will find it faster taking the advice but by no means the long slow way won't work, it can.

Going to socials definitely helps, can't argue with that, however we also meet solo and have managed that before attending any social...

Sometimes it just takes several things to line up right and you're onto a winner of a meet, sometimes it takes weeks of chatting to get a coffee.

Every person and their process is different and no 2 approaches can be the same, copy and paste doesn't work just have a decent conversation and if you match up then perfect

Not everyone one meets through clubs or socials is my point , I know plenty that have great success on here and never been to any is all I'm saying .

I do the pub quiz on a Tuesday night in Paisley as a Fab social as well as pre drinks socials. There’s a few opportunities to come along and meet people.
