So if you were a teacher what subject/club would you teach and why.

For me definitely debating club, obvious reasons.

And miss muff don't even think about teaching elocution lessons. Although it would be quite funny.

If it were a real class I'd probably be good at teaching Customer Relations.

I have/had to help the guys at my current and previous jobs so much, as they often speak down or in techno-babble to folks that barely understand IT.

I’d teach social life skills .. for fun I’d do genealogy, history and landscape painting .

. I often find family and friends are so often plugged online to social media that they have lost the time they need for themselves.

"Can you teach people how to walk in someone else’s shoes for a day? Be more respectful towards others "

Maybe teach young people that respect is something needs to be earned. And earned by everybody, regardless of the kind of shoes they normally walk in.

I can walk a mile in a woman's (sensible) shoes but I'll never have any understanding or possible means of expressing what it is like to have a period or go through puberty as a girl. Nor should I ever have to.

I teach. It is incredibly difficult to get a regular intake class through their Nat 4 English and Maths. The idea that schools should somehow be responsible for "teaching" respectfulness, good manners, patience, acceptance of others etc is laughable. You cannot get adults to do that. Are those things even 'teachable' in the broadest sense of the word? That was a rhetorical question by the way!

For the "off-piste" more esoteric, social skills work in addition to the core curriculum, I mostly teach the pupils how to drop sbd's, I finish most lessons with a "whoever smelt it dealt it..." accusation and give merit awards for good marginalia and weird doodles. They turn out awright...

Two weeks and two days... oh yessss!

I believe respect should always be afforded to other people but I can very quickly lose respect for someone when their action shows no respect for others. Its like manners, I expect manners when dealing with others as that's what they will get from me but manners goes right out the window along with respect when either qualities are not shown by the other person. You can teach children manners but you can't teach them respect. In my opinion, perhaps a teacher can tell me otherwise.
