I used to think it was 100-1 but it now feels much more male dominated than even that.

So a common grump is women getting bombarded and men not getting messages even read.

Could something be done to improve that? I know unverified members have a message limit. Could verified guys be limited to messaging say 10 seperate women a day or something like that?

I've no magic wand and just throwing an idea out there for site admin to ignore.

Any thoughts?

most women who claim to get hundreds a day are probably not using filters .

I have very tight filters and do not get hundreds a day that’s for sure .

As naughty said..iv got very tight filters so I'm not a chick that receives 100s of messages a day but I feel sorry for guys on here that actually read the profiles and do things the right way as apposed to the guys that just fire cut n paste messages to everyone and hope that someone answers.

Post an update - maybe a few more messages

Post a decent pic - inundated with messages (but not hundreds!)

It’s often about being in a new location, even just 15-20 miles away and it’s the ‘fresh meat’ feel!

Some days you get none at all!

I gotta laugh at this. Is narrowing down the messages that guys can send to 10 females a day really going to help you get noticed if the ratio is as you say 100-1 ?

Ps don't believe all the hype that women get 100s of messages a day. Listen to the realists above who are telling you that the hype is not true.

Have to say I cannot complain about messages recieved and answered...

I'm glad I'm not female as I assume at times you get bombarded, as explained above by posting a Pic or move to different location, must be tough to fish out good /genuine respectful messages.

Sometimes, yes, only sometimes I send a second message if I suspect it has been bulk deleted, and more than often I get a reply..... All good, some fab people on here, and some rude ones, a true reflection of society I guess... All good...

If someone wants to meet you they will reply. Narrowing down other people's messaging capability will not change your response rate.

You do you and let others get on with what they do.
