Central Borders

Your best bet for recommendations would probably be booking dot com. Don't think there are all that many people in that area on fab, let alone on the forum.

Hope you find somewhere nice x

wherever i need to be

Inverness… whilst a city, isn’t huge so even if you stay on the outskirts, the town centre is a ten minute taxi away, but there are a few city centre hotels and some up by Eden court as well.

I stayed in a pub, Blackfriars at the start of the year. Really central, clean and reasonably priced!

Given the time of year, what you need to look at is what hotels have availability as most are full. Even the Travelodge can charge £160 a night.

I've stayed in the hotel by the station (former railway hotel) and the premier Inn.

Recommend both of them.

The premier Inn was about 5 min walk into town centre across the river.

At this time of year it is more a case of what is available rather than choice especially at weekends.

At this time of year, prices are extortionate and availability is scarce. I know a lot of people stay in the Jury’s Inn for work. Prices are quite reasonable and I’m sure if you were staying a while it would be worth asking them about a corporate rate. If you check Booking.com there’s also lots of suggestions on there. An alternative might be an Air BnB if you’re looking for something a bit more ‘home from home’
