North Ayrshire.

It was fitting that it was Ramsay that let them down. He has done nothing in his loan spell.

West Lothian

Too many below par performances from the most important players. Tav, Kent and Goldson all poor on the night.

Bassey was simply sensational.

Frankfurt maybe just edged it in terms of play but had Rangers won the shoot out they'd also have been worthy winners. Not much football played but probably due to their being so much at stake.

Bassey was superb tonight, shouldn't have been on the losing side. Rangers finished second in a major European tournament, that's still an amazing achievement.

Well played, from a highlander

"Nah, Goldson lost it for us in the 2nd half. "

Really? As a neutral. I totally disagree.

He was facing goal a yard off a ball coming at pace. If he stuck his foot out making contact with that ball and it went in for a own goal?? Would you be saying the same???

I do agree he hesitated but given the occasion and scenario he was right to hesitate. There was another defender behind him who could possibly deal with it

Fucking punt it out the park and it's not a goal! Rangers maybe win the Europa.

Ball hit off wrong side of his foot it was an own goal.

Do you want to be that guy who scored an own goal and lost your team a final???

Empathy goes a long way.

What's done is done tho. Close but no cigar. Gutted for both him and Ramsey.

Depends on your outlook. Got to the final against all odds and maybe could have won it but for a great save.

Lose again yes pretty bad but been a patchy season and no one would have thought they would have been in a European final again.

He's basically cost a goal which led to his team losing a final anyway.

The most simplistic rule if defending and he could do it.

Anyway, extra time / penalties. Suits my team for Saturday. I just hope we turn up.

But the sectarian bull crap will as always read it’s ugly head and put us all to shame

Yes simple rule of defense but there are circumstances to each individual situation don't you think. Gut reaction in your mind gives away a goal. Hold back and potentially stop a goal.. right or wrong what do u do to benefit your team???

Fair enough. But your team is in a major final and all you can think about is talking about your rivals...who are a complete irrelevance on the day. Not the best look.

Aberdeenshire

Unpopular opinion, but for GVB to put a player on just to take a penalty in a shoot out is bad management. He seems to be escaping criticisms due to everything else he got right but for me that is huge.

England did the same in the European final. When will teams learn?

Rangers matched them all the way while not playing well. They've had a great run playing exciting football. Lots of positives despite the defeat but will be little consolation to their fans.

from a rugby loving guy, dont watch a lot of footie as cant be bothered about all the antics they do rolling about like they have been shot. But as a scotsman i proud of any scottish team reaching a major final no what matter who they are, they have done Scotland proud and we should be glad about that.

Great seeing a Scottish club in a major European final, and they came so close. Will we ever in our lifetime see any team from Scotland again in a European final.

The cash generated in the top leagues, I think, will make it impossible.

what you mean the same cash that's there right now?, , celtic or rangers may never win the champions league but as rangers proved they could've won the 2nd biggest Cup in Europe.

Too many didn't play well on the night, but cant fault them for sheer balls and effort. And still took it to the wire, the German team's are penalty machines as we all know. I don't blame Ramsey, or anyone for that matter, win and lose as a team. It was a great day and night, and got to go crazy at taking the lead in a European final which is a 1st for me. Lol. Disappointed but proud, and still Saturday to look forward too. I hope lowry starts, I'd have brought him on instead of Ramsey, and i really believe he would have made a difference, and not missed the penalty. But what do i know. Lol

I said this when Celtic did it, and again with manchester last time. I thought about it the other day and a Scottish team makes a final around once a decade, apart from the 90s i think. So not as rare as some think. But lets all do better and try to make it a more common occurrence
