I spent many years training to be a chef. I was working in dunkeld hilton at the time and they had cheap chef accommodation. After work we all used to get so d*unk as there was not much else to do so one night I decide I wanted to watch the sun rise. Dont no why tbh I was d*unk and it was a d*unk itch. So I climbed over the edge of the bridge to where the ledges for the lights were, sat down and watched. I must of sat there for hours by myself. It was breath taking view when the sun started coming over the mountains and shining on the river below and now my favourite place in Scotland. Even though some cunt phined the police thinking I was going to commit suicide

its still today my perfect place.

What about everyone else? Please serious answers everyone

In the west.

I have two.

One is sitting at the topnof a hill out side of town watching the sun go down over Arran and the Paps of Jura, I'm about 15 miles from the coast.

The other is driving down the Clyde. The view as it opens up just after the Erskine Bridge is amazing, in all weathers.

The west coast beyond Ullapool has got to be one of the most prehistoric landscapes in the world....harsh, unforgiving beauty.

The Lochgilphead to Oban rd...Crobh Haven ....stunning.

Most of it, there’s some stunning buildings in our cities, quaint towns and harbours, breathtaking beaches, mountains and forests. The light whether it’s sunshine or showers is always stunning but my favourite is early morning or dusk. The ever changing mood from rain, wind, hail to showery and glorious sunshine, I love it all and I wouldn’t be anywhere else in the world!!!

Right across the road from my parents old fisherman cottage, where I grew up, bang on the North East of Scotland coast... So beautiful on a sunny day, sea sparkling. And amazing and powerful on a stormy day, stirs the emotions. Only trouble is when the sea smells bad

Driving a train up the coast from Dundee to Aberdeen is absolutely stunning and the views from the cab on a warm sunny day is spectacular

Also over the forth rail bridge at night is something special when it’s all light up

An old school friend's parents had a house out in the countryside, overlooking Loch Ness in Ault Na Goire, Gorthleck, Inverness. Sitting in my boxers and watching the mist lift off the loch with a big mug of coffee and a cigarette was perhaps my most perfect moment. I was alone and there were no radios playing, no cars or trucks.
