Hi, im looking recommendations for hotels in Glasgow for when I stay there soon. Wanting somewhere if possible for easy access to get a 3rd person upto the rooms without any issues! Is it possible to give the 3rd person the room number for them to make there own way to the room or does all hotels have key coded lifts.

In the west.

Any hotels I've stayed in recently need the keycard to access the lifts.

I was in the PremierInn at Buchanan Galleries a few weeks ago, the views from the windows are amazing.

Is it OK to ask at the desk saying we have a guest for a few hours or is this asking to much.

In the west.

The entrance to the hotel is at street level, reception is one floor up. Just swipe your keycard and go up in the lift from street level.

Hotels in Glasgow where you don't need a key card and the person can just go straight to your room that I know of are:

Grand Central, Raddison Blu, Motel One, Marriot. Hilton Double Tree. Premier Inn Charing Cross (although may have changed now). Point Hotel.

Hope this helps ??

We use Motel One. No card needed to get in or into lift.

Doubletree Hilton let’s you take the lift to any floor, but you need a card once you get out the lift. I just went along and met our friend when the lift appeared, easy.

If a card is needed for the lift then just use the stairs.

Look for serviced apartments rather than hotels would be my recommendation we have used them a few times and so much better than a hotel . It’s about £85 a night but you have no issues with anyone and a lovely flat !!

Most of the hotels in Glasgow don’t need cards for the lifts. Premier Inn tend to need cards in the majority of their hotels. Easiest way is to get two cards and then go up one person then as a couple.

Some rooms also have two beds which is handy. A double and a single or two doubles. Check the room options when booking.

You may want to check parking restrictions as well.

Have fun x

Prob already been recommended but jury’s inn is prob the best. The staff are all kinda in the know and are very polite and helpful but chances are you won’t hear from them. £90 per night I think

It’s really simple, book in and tell them your partner will be in soon and ask to leave a key card behind the desk for them.

People over think this all the time, honest that simple.

It's perfectly ok for yous to book in x yous will get a card each for your room x all you have to do is give the card to the person who your are going to meet x it's definitely not a problem x

Village Hotel is great. Lifts are before reception desk, and there’s never anyone asking questions.

Thabks OP for the thread.

How about the Holiday Inn express for fun purposes? Seems that's the most reasonable price for the coming weekend.

It needs a card from memory. My fab friend usually meets me downstairs when the keycard is needed for the lift.

I can't imagine that being an issue. Why shouldn't you have a visitor if you wish. It could be a family member for all they know.

As someone who's worked in that industry - they know EXACTLY what is going on but don't give a damn.

It does and can happen, especially when drink is involved but it's risky. You approach the wrong person and you could get into trouble.

Are you in Glasgow 29th wknd?
