Real or fake?

So we've been chatting with a single female over the past 2-3 weeks and our conversations have been amazing, her profile appears to be 100% and her verifications are all from men (5 out of her 8 are the same guy) but here's the but part every verification is a cam verification, now I know most don't care about verifications on here but we do as it can let us see how others may see her and to see if she's what we are searching for so whilst messaging last night we asked her if she would be willing to set up a date to do a 3way video chat to reassure her that we are real but she got very defensive saying that we should just believe that she's genuine but now we are not too sure.

Surely if her fab verifications are legitimate she wouldn't have an issue with us seeing her on cam or are we thinking too much about it? We just find it all abit strange..

Huge red flag imo vid calls are rather normal now and if verified shouldn't be an issue to do a wee 2 min call u can also use snap or kik to send pics as it will tell u if person has just took the pic or it came from cam roll xx

Some folk are private and dont want to be recorded by a stranger… your better arrnaging a social date in a public place… that to me is normal and just before hand call each other on the phone female to female etc and that should settle it…

Some folk only like to play on cam dont like there faces showing etc because that can be recorded and redistributed

Unless she thinks you're wanting some explicit cam stuff? I get people asking me to Skype after seeing me in chat and it makes me think they just want to wank

Maybe offer to jump in chat on cam at the same time if she's more comfortable being on there?

Yeah I agree with the social date but if she's fake she's not going to turn up and that's the point in the 3way cam idea as it let's us all see atleast we are who we say we are but I also agree on privacy and been recorded etc, it's a difficult one but appreciate your comment m8

I’m not massively into cam verification stuff. I will however show my verifications or speak through another platform to show I am who I say I am etc. I wouldn’t meet someone off fab with just their verifications to go off. (Again) Once I actually want to meet someone I’d at least talk on the phone and swap some kind of details! It’s far to easy to fake stuff. I’ve learned that the hard way! S x

The whole idea of the video cam was to reassure her that we are a couple but it would also ease our minds knowing that she was real and not some dude pretending to be female, wouldn't be the 1st time that's happened to us.

Jane thinks she's genuine but I reckon she's fake, it doesn't make sense that if both parties want to prove they are who they are they would be quick to reassure the other by doing a quick videocam. No nothing yet but we are not going to push it with her, I'm sure over time she might be more comfortable with our idea but if not then that's her choice and we will respect her decision.

Sounds like a fake to us. As all her verifications are from cam you have to wonder why she refuses to cam with you. The fact she keeps asking for more photos of Jane is another red flag. As has been previously mentioned arrange a social and if she/he is a no show you can have a night together.

If I can take a slight tangent, I had two apparently real couples contact or wink me today (without me messaging first), but before I’ve even answered, when I’ve gone to look at their profiles.. Will stay consistent with the same advice I'd give to a single guy in this sort of situation. Let your head on your shoulders make the decisions and not your desires. Op you look like a lovely couple so if the person your talking to is really a female then she should be happy to make it work and if that means a quick chat then she should do it or move on, if not then you guys should move on . If its a guy then he most certainly can't do what you ask anyway . I wouldn't even advise a social meet as the chances are your going to end up disappointed if you bypass your own request. Don't sell yourselves short , your in charge of how this goes forward from here and ultimately if it all ends badly then you can only look at yourselves and not blame the fake profile. I hope she's genuine and it all goes well for you guys anyway.

We didn't miss read or misunderstand anything, we made a valid point based on the fact that the couple wanting a video call would not be together in the same room, thus giving the opportunity for just a bloke to join a chat with another lady and pretend that his mrs will be joining the call presently. Tbh that is a huge red flag in itself and it's no wonder someone would be suspicious of it

Even if the couple are well verified

On another thought, are the lady's cam verifications from her on cam in the chat rooms where anyone who has viewed can leave a verification or are they from 1on1 chats?

Just BAIL. You’re wasting so much energy over - hold on - drama - that will manifest down the line. Don’t get played. Don’t get stressed. There are other wonderful women on here that would probably enjoy your company.

I know a few profiles that are deffo men being women. But they do no harm or look for meets so I don’t interfere. As soon as one starts messing around with wasting energy or time then they will get reported.

1st up we didn't insist on her video camming, we asked politely and she said she didn't want to and that we should believe she's genuine, 2nd you assume that me and Jane would not be together on the call to her?? Ofcourse we would we are a couple after all, the only way it would be a 3way call if the other female could only call at a certain time that didn't match up with with mine or Jane's work pattern and finally if she's genuine then a simple 30 second video chat would clarify that.

There is your issue, we insist on a video hello or we don't meet but if you said to us that you both were separately going to chat via video and not be in the same room it would be an instant block from us because sadly that is just another version of the "mrs couldn't make it" line

Even if you're fully genuine, that how it comes across

Think you misread that.

They were saying everyone would be on the call but the two of them might have to join as individuals rather than a couple due to not being in the same room.

You and Jane need to work out the old Cerebral Cortex more than your Quads.

We didn't miss read or misunderstand anything, we made a valid point based on the fact that the couple wanting a video call would not be together in the same room, thus giving the opportunity for just a bloke to join a chat with another lady and pretend that his mrs will be joining the call presently. As stated "mrs couldn't make it" excuse

Tbh that is a huge red flag in itself and it's no wonder someone would be suspicious of it

Even if the couple are well verified

On another thought, are the lady's cam verifications from her on cam in the chat rooms where anyone who has viewed can leave a verification or are they from 1on1 chats?

1st up we didn't insist on her video camming, we asked politely and she said she didn't want to and that we should believe she's genuine, 2nd you assume that me and Jane would not be together on the call to her?? Ofcourse we would we are a couple after all, the only way it would be a 3way call if the other female could only call at a certain time that didn't match up with with mine or Jane's work pattern and finally if she's genuine then a simple 30 second video chat would clarify that."

No assumptions made from this end,

We didn't say you insisted on a video call, we do.

We didn't assume you guys wouldn't be together, we read your own words which state a three way call, which would mean, you're not together, we are highlighting what could be seen as a reason someone may suspect your profile of being fake in the same vein that you suspect someone else's is because they don't want to have a video call with in essence two separate people

^this. 100% of time I'm on here I'm sitting in granny jammies. No make up. Looking like I've been dragged thru a hedge backwards. No video or phonecalls for me. Would rather take the chance on grabbing a quick coffee to meet in person.

If its a no show then a wee stoat round the shops. No harm done but never had a No show so far.

Starting to see more and more fake profiles popping up. Worryingly, a number are being photo verified, verified immediately by a guy and then start banging out the pms asking for face pics and sending friend requests.

If you’re half decent with photoshop you will manage to get past an admin check, they can only do so much afterall, so all we have is our own judgement and gut feeling. If it feels fishy, probably is.

Surely if her fab verifications are legitimate she wouldn't have an issue with us seeing her on cam or are we thinking too much about it? We just find it all abit strange..

Update on what happened next for anyone that cared:

So after reading the comments and advice that you guys left we decided to not to push our idea of her verifying herself by doing a short 30 sec videocall with myself and jane, we sent her a message saying this and apologies if it made her feel uneasy or we didn't believed age was real, a few hours later was surprised to get a message back from her saying that once she though over our idea it made perfect sense, there was other issues that she mentioned but I'm not going to go into them as it wouldn't be right but it's now safe to say she is who she says she is so just wanted to say thanks to all who commented and gave their opinions

Hey, We are now adopting that way from here on in, normally it was never a problem but so many fake profiles in here makes sense to guarantee ?? that all parties are real before any plans are made. X
