Was just meant to be a light hearted joke.

We have had Fox Street shut down due to re_iews lifted from here.

A masquearde ball that was cancelled and then publicised due to the sunday mail.

And CJs has been featured previously..

The ball wasn't cancelled because of a reporter?

"The ball wasn't cancelled because of a reporter?"

Who the heck reads newspapers these days?

Suppose Sunday mail is more of a picture book.

but they were fed stuff by someone and I personally think all the threads saying who is going to which club, whats happening etc etc,.... just doesn't help

in the olden days ( I am 100 ) people just went, there wasn't a million threads created about it and I think that may have something to do with some of the shit....... ( not it all ) but discretion has truly gone out the window here

I think half the problem is peeps on here treat the forums like its Facebook! And like to tell everyone everything they are doing!

Def more discretion required.

I'm suprised it's taken this long to get in to the press. There are lots of websites not just this one and sites for various other kinks and fetishes that have regular club nights.

Someone just seems to have an axe to grind.

i may be wrong , but it was only a cpl of yrs ago we didnt have clubs up here , mainly house party,s.so it still saw as a outragous thing we do[enjoying life like we do,lol]

also a cpl of yrs ago a certain ex politician highlighted swingers clubs so maybe its a fall back story.

Newspapers are soulless businesses that's all. Sex sells, always has and always will and if an exposé about a venue or a site increases that circulation then they'll do it. There's no public interest at all, but, the public are interested, or rather titillated.

You Scots do seem to suffer with a particularly puritanical establishment up there.

Well said sir!

Some would even say its a presbyterian hellfire and brimstone establishment - which makes you kind of laugh when said "establishment" wants to redefine the definition of marriage so much so that many a church minister is in fear of being criminalised if the proposed law reform goes ahead.

so much for the establishment's much hyped "one Scotland" campaign with zero tolerance of homophobia, bigotry etc.

to plagiarise a certain LGBT rights campaign: some people are swingers; get over it!

I came across an article on the supression of swingers in the 21st century. Seems to be a balanced treatise although I think it is written with the England rather than Scotland in mind - but in essence I'm sure the laws in each jurisdiction are similar - sadly I cant post thre link in open forum

for the discretion thing...who think it helps in another thread to start confessing to having sex in public places???...not even in the dogging/outdoor woods sense!...That is where the story lies, and of course the misconception lies in what happens at a private event in a public place.

The Sunday mail done cjs by her admission it was free advertising. Why is what we do or don't do any different from any pub or night club or singles bar or daring site we just put the sex part upfront as in what the parties involved wish. Surely mutual respect and acting out mutual desires is not wrong. In fact it works a hell of a lot better than the vanilla world of anger when the other party does not wish to act on your desires.

It seems to me that the swinging thing with the press is easy meat! They want sensationalisem and can no longer get it from other "minority" groups , All they want is splash a headline saying that we are all pervs and its all so disgusting and sordid. but people some people want to read about all the titulating gossip!

Wonder how many swingers work on these papers... they must cringe..

We dont accually do anything wrong we are all consenting adults, which i think s another problem for them as they need to look at different angle to get at us!

Was there anything in the Sunday Mail or other papers yesterday? I didn't see the Sunday Mail yesterday but saw someone post something about it on their profile but couldn't message to ask as they only accept messages from subscribers.
