I just wondered if anyone on FAB walks their dogs at the same locations as I do and we may have spoken without knowing the FAB connection? I walk my little guy regularly at Pollok Park, Rouken Glen Park, Calderglen Park, Fernbrae Meadows and Strathclyde Park.

Maybe we could make it a big social event? Lol.

Another reason to keep real life and fab life separate.

I know what you mean - but I just thought as another way of meeting people in a normal and relaxed environment.

I prefer walking my dog alone to be honest. I just wander all over the place and have my music on for company.

So things should be left separate from this life. Plus my dogs are mental so I don’t want someone going to the hospital when they get flattened by them.

Joking aside OP I don't see any issue with your suggestion, people from Fab meet for coffee every day so why not make it a walk instead and include the dogs .

Fabbers meet for motorbike rides, I know there was a poker school night a couple of years ago where about 10 turned up , so why not dog walks. Good luck bud.

Absolutely mate, but listen each to their own I suppose. I just suggested it as the amount of people I see and talk to when im out with the dog, I always wonder if they are on FAB.

We’re part of a fab dog walking group. It’s a purely a social thing. Like someone above said, it’s not really any different than meeting for coffee only we’re walking with the coffee and the dogs also get to socialise.

That’s a really good shout for getting the dogs socialised and also youl all swap tips etc. Really good idea.

I have two sausage dogs and walking them together is an absolute ballache, I’m always on the scrounge for someone to help me take them out

Can’t do the dual lead yet as one’s still a puppy.

I dont lile tea, coffee, hot chocolste etc, so other means of meeting is ideal for me - without the pressure of say meeting at a house or pub.

I just mean to meet and walk with other people out with their dogs - not so much to walk other peoples dogs for them - although thats a good wee earner I hear! Lol.

I think you’ve taken my post wrongly, I said it was a good idea. That’s all.

The bit about having 2 dogs is more alongside the social aspect it brings as friends come alone often for the same reasons that dog walkers get together in groups, the social aspect. Jings

Got to think of the dogs here, some dogs are not comfortable with meeting new dogs while out on their walk. Especially if they are big bouncy dogs.

It really is a great way to meet people/chat even if my rescue dog will initially try to eat any other dog until he gets to know them.

In theory this would be a good idea but I have a 3kg dog who eats people, if he’s allowed to get close enough.

Usually Dundee and around

There should be a secret code like in the cold War...

DogWalker1: That's a fab dog you have there!

DogWalker2: We are both fab actually!

DogWalker1: Me too! Fancy getting a coffee and seeing where things go?

I'm not a dog owner, but a runner/jogger and would love to try this opener when saying hi to their pooches in the park...

What an ORIGINAL idea

We can call it

DOGGING

This was the original concept of Dogging before meeting in cars in car parks etc
