Taking chat away from Fab

Why do people in here make contact with you then ask can we chat away from site is. Kik, Snapchat etc.

I chose a number of years ago to bin social media sites as I was sick to the back teeth of the content which added to my already failing mental health.

Fab and another more fetish related site are the only forms of digital social interaction I have kept

Hard enough for someone my age to make contact on here without people wanting to take the chat to another platform

Much prefer to chat here or, if you are genuinely interested make plans to meet for a coffee

Plenty of Costa’s around to meet socially

People ask for a different number of reasons I'd think although plenty only use fab.

- most have/use some form of social media? (I do, Shy doesn't)

- it can be easier to chat off of fab in some areas if people about?

- some prefer other platforms for pic sharing?

To name a few.

You just continue doing what you prefer.

People can choose to chat here, there or everywhere! You have the option to say no thank you. You do you and let others do them and everyone is happy.

Dunno, I suppose if some folk really click they feel like Kik, Skype etc is a wee bit more exclusive.

One bonus to using off site chat apps like Kik etc is the ability to chat with multiple people in groups, as well as video or voice call.

I don't personally ise them now as I found more and more people just wanting dirty talk/pics with no intention of meeting. But they do have their benefits!

However if you're not comfortable with them you have as much right not to use them as others have to use them! Set your own boundaries, people should respect them but they don't have to share them with you!

I'll use Kik but I'm not in any groups.

If there's a good connection here and we're very likely to meet then I'll use what's app but I don't do that lightly.

Trust isn't something I do in abundance.

I'm not on any other platforms

I use Fab for anything related to this side of my life.

I choose not to use any other social media for various reasons, many have already been outlined here

Yes If someone wants to continue a private conversation with me elsewhere then tough. I do all Fab correspondence here

When I first joined here with a completely different account etc I was up for anything and everything.

Got burned

I was once attacked and stabbed at a so called meet on this site

Please excuse me for being a bit more cautious when using social media

I’ve had photos from Fab copied and put on to a porn site along with a few others on here that I recognised. A Fab friend alerted it to me in the first place.

I'm not keen on taking it away from fab after someone was posting others pics into a Kik group I was once in, I swiftly left...I will give out my number to a select few that I trust though and pics can be deleted on there too.

Only a couple of people have my Kik but I don't intend to give it out again. I deleted the last one becayse I was getting pestered with messages. If they can't talk to me on here then I'll just stop talking to them x

Correct me if I'm wrong. If you are not a site supporter you can't read messages as a thread. Making it more difficult to keep track of conversations.

I mostly keep fab on fab. Very few get other ways to contact me. A lot of folk get shirty if they have an instant messaging connection and you don't answer instantly. Just ends up getting them blocked tho.

Don't really see your issue OP, their only asking you a question If you want to take it to another platform, you have the power to simply refuse. What is strange is you then go on to say its hard enough on Fab for someone your age to make contact with others.

If you put blockers up then your making it harder for yourself TBH but as already said many times above , your account , your choices and I agree , you use Fab however you want bud.

For me I prefer chatting in real time so using messenger apps makes it easier and more free flowing than on here.

At the end of the day we can all approach things how we want to, if someone insists on doing something you don't want to then they're not the one for you.

I prefer moving to Kik once I know someone is a person I want to chat with. It’s easier to follow and faster flowing. Also don’t get the bump of “wnt 2 fuk” messages when showing online here.

It’s also much better when meeting with my other half or meeting a couple as everyone can pitch into the chat easier.

Basically the same as using WhatsApp but without giving my number out right away.

Each to their own. If I offer to chat on Kik, it's because I want to know you better. If they don't have it, it's just a bit harder for me to get to know someone, as it's really the only way I'll agree to chatting further, without dishing out my phone number. I don't always come online here, so it can be weeks before I'll reply, if I get around to replying at all.

I don't think anyone should be chastised for it. You don't like it, don't use it. Others like it, they use it.
