Anyone else get a cheeky wee cheque for £185 this morning ?

I'm not even a customer

Tried calling them but the wait in queue time is 2 hours i'm guessing a major fuck up somewhere.

Can i spend it and not be expected to hand it back ?

Not been with scottish power for about 4 yrs, the letter is pretty basic just says here's a cheque for £185 thanks for your custom.

Guys and girls i'd love to spend _adcows contributions to scottish power by buying malts and lunch, but i'm taking leggz advice on this one....maybe at least till it burns a hole in my pocket

nope, lucky you

we got a debt letter though from N-Power for over £2000 last year, even though we have never ever been a customer of theirs. emailed them and about 20 weeks later got an apology.

but you have to wonder about the people that would just accept it and pay....

I waited in all day in new flat frezzing for scottish power to come and take dept of meter.frm previous tenent. so I can put my own money in.Made the appt last week. and A No show yest. I am.raging with them ment to be in flat on Thursday. .

You can be prosecuted for fraud if you knowingly bank or spend the money knowing full well it was not intended for you.

I would keep on calling them or email them, you may get a nice suprise and find it was for you.
