"please don't give the charity name, someone will contact them"

very true, then they will feel obliged to refuse the money.

better to give it with the true gesture that it was meant and to benefit people less fortunate

knowing it is making life better for people, is the fingers up to the author of the article

In terms of charitable organisations it wouldn't be a good idea for them to be named

I know they have arranged for a fab member to speak to a charity over the next few days, then she will update and advise people the total and the nature of the charity. I would suggest maybe she scans a copy of the receipt and forwards in private to anyone requesting.

I wish Baldy & Busty all the best.

I hope they get a bit of peace and can breath a little easier knowing they did their very best for everyone concerned.

Baldy contacted me before deleting their account to ask me to accept the money raised from them and make the donation to charity.

I'll make sure to do as View has suggested and upload a picture of me with a copy of the receipt, charity blanked out, and will send it to all or any who wish for proof it's been sent to charity.

May I also suggest that anyone still wishing a refund from their ticket money

contact me and I can text Baldy with your request.

Be quick though, or the money goes to charity!

There is a "Swing for Charity"... but I think their wee white balls are too small and don't think they would appreciate it... too busy trying to get a hole in one and worried about bogies and reducing the amount of handicap they have... They're not very PC I think. Maybe a genuine swinging charity could be established though, with various fund raising events. Might help break down the stigma many "in society" have about this totally OK, fun lifestyle.

Unfortunately there have been some charities refused donations once they find out they come from swingers.

Adverse publicity and charities do not mix.

Dundee

We have not said much about this debate until now but must agree with the mood of the original post. There is definitely a downbeat mood on the Scottish thread due to the action of some killjoy

On the up side there was still a lot of people that had a great night out to spite the gobshites. Maybe that is why there has been a big thing made about the ball in the scummy press (Sunday Mail in case you are wondering)

Very sad that it has led to some couples leaving the site after all of the hard work they have done just to ensure that the rest of us have a great time. We would be really happy if someone would pass this message to them.

Really glad that a charity will get something out of this.

Baldy & Busty are getting your messages don't worry. Plus they have had so much mail before they left from people thanking them for all the hard graft they put in over the past two years to organise both masquerade balls.

I don't have the exact figures yet about what money remains, but remember, they were out of pocket personally and they lost the deposit on the venue...... paper said they gave it back but they didn't, they lied fancy that papers telling lies!

Plus there are still a couple of people who are waiting for their ticket money back, so we will sort that no problemo..... HOWEVER Leaving lots of lovely lolly for charity. YAY!

The charities chosen are ones close to B&B's and many others hearts having seen first hand what they can do for sufferers and families.

So without mentioning here I heartily agree with their choice.

Lets not forget the ball was organised by them as a means to raise charity funds as well as give all of us a good clean fun night out.

So it is only fitting after all their blood sweat and tears and years of organising that the money they raised goes to their choices of charity.

BUMP

JUST INCASE ANYONE MISSED THIS BEFORE.

Hurry hurry if you want a refund for ticket money.

There's only a tenner left so all those still waiting for refunds will have their name put in a hat and I'll draw out their names ...... all those giving me hassle will not get their name put in the hat.

THAT IS ALL.

Ayr

the social was sabitaged by one person that had the hump,

the ayrshire social is still going ahead,

we have took every safety precaution you can think of,

and we also donate to charity and tell everyone how much it is and where its going to,

people jumping down the orginisers throats, for the cancellation, personally after all the years and hard work they put into socials, even if they have it, they deserve it for all there work in past,

and dont see why people are scared to use the site, it aint against any law for social events and meets,,,, hope the site returns back to norm soon and loads o socials and fun times,,,,
