I had a message from a woman, her profile had some lovely pictures of her body. The app said she was close, i didnt know how close. After a couple of messages were exchanged, she sent a face pic.....she lives 4 doors away from me..whenever i saw her outside she always had a frown on her face, hardly said a word to anyone.....i politely turned her down and eventually blocked her.....even now, she doesnt know we commented on each others bodies

I'd always keep the two separate to be honest.

We’ve had this twice now, chatted to people and then swapped face pics and known them! After the initial ‘oh gosh!’ it was fine….we’re all here for similar reasons. One couple we still talk to now and then but probably wouldn’t meet and the other we blocked. I suppose it’s entirely personal how you feel about them xx

Some people like to keep this side of their life totally separate which is fair enough. To my mind if you get on with them and everything’s ethical (I.e. there’s not a scorned spouse been kept out of the loop who is going to turn up at someone’s door) then there shouldn’t be any issue. I find ‘meets’ are better when there’s more than just an initial spark, so if you’re already friends/acquaintances then that should only improve things.

As others have said, you’re both here for the same or similar reasons, so the embarrassment factor should be easy to get past.

My other half and I have met up with people we already know outside of here (totally unconnected to here) and there’s never been an issue.

It all comes down to communication and trust, I guess. For the trust part you should be able to gauge quite quickly what their approach to discretion is!

It depends on who they are really. I tend to live life without rules and just go by the vibes.

If everyone's happy with it and you're certain it won't cause problems then go for it.

Yeah it’s an awkward one. It’s happened to me a few times where the guy has sent a message, I’ve responded and received a pic in the following message that I’ve recognised. I never let on and just made some excuse about not being my type. Annoyingly 2 of them were attached and while I wasn’t friends with their other half, I did know them. Both also claimed to be single. Certainly made me see them in a different light

These threads are quite common

I've often thought has anyone read them and realised they're the one being spoken about

Not this thread, but the “Awkward Silence” and “Simply not big enough” threads for sure.
