So what’s your wink etiquette ? For us getting a wink it’s

Step 1 - receive wink

Step 2 - wink back

Step 3 - wait for their message

Problem is despite following 1 and 2 we sometimes don’t ever get a message back so there must be different opinions or etiquettes.

We are the same. If we winked, that means that we like the profile, and received a wink back we would send a message, but it looks like not everyone have similar approach.

Not sure there is any hard and fast winking rule.

If I receive a wink from someone I like the look of, i message them without reciprocating the wink. Saves wasting time.

same steps for us and in reverse. If we wink and get one back then we will send a message. Biggest issue we find is when nothing happens. Did they see the wink and weren't interested or do they ignore them totally. Kinda loathe to send a message when the first interaction has been ignored.

I never wink first. If I get one and like the look of the profile, I'll wink back. If I don't then get a message, I don't give it another thought.

I wink.

If I like the look of a person and profile I pop the wink over. Women and couples get bombarded with emails from guys so rather than join the rest of the stampede I find the wink works better for me.

There’s ofcourse the odd time I don’t get anything back at all or for quite some time such as until they have found themselves on my page, noticed I’ve winked previously and reach out to me then.

Rather than have the “oh he’s messaged before and I/we didn’t reply so he isn’t for me/us” thought process I’d rather take the chance of the wink not being seen at first. I’m also lazy which plays a part too.

Haha, never thought of the possibility they may have wanted to friend me, I was thinking more hit the wink button in a panic when trying to get away from my profile quickly

A wink to me signifies some interest, if I receive a wink I would wink back. The next step would be to send a nice message if genuinely interested to know more about the person
