I suspect the point is move people to a position where they have to have a covid Vacs to get the passport to indulge in near normal life, they do not want to force it and make it law. However the more that take it up on a voluntary basis the less risk of when you do catch it you end up in hospital.

It gives at least some protection, yes you may still get covid but hopefully not as bad and you have a greater chance of surviving it without the need for hospitalisation.

For numerous reasons the NHS is creaking so best not to put more strain on it.

Ie having 2 jabs and booster as it stands

For:Having it & showing it when required causes me no grief, nor does me having it cause anyone else any...

I am now at the stage that I only look after myself, don't care if others have the jab or not.

I have taken a gamble and been jabbed, if other choose to gamble and not be, thats up to them & good luck

I think your confusing the post about covid passports and covid jabs. Covid passports don't give you any protection whatsoever.

I'm completely for the jabs but completely against showing my papers to live my life freely. Said it before , its a step towards national ID cards, the government can sell the idea as just being like covid passports with an all on one card scenario.

What if a nightclub asked you to prove you have no issues with your hearing as they may play loud music and you could blame them for any damage you could possibly get, or a restaurant asked to see some health records to make sure you don't have an eating disorder. When venues can check your personal medical history before allowing entry I think we're on a slippery slope to dictatorship.

Dictatorships tend not to hold general elections.

They are an attempt to keep the economy going and keep cases down, and remember anyone can do an lft so you can still get into Nandos.

If anyone wants to fake a pass or test then they are a bell end of massive proportions and beyond help.

I am but when private companies have government approval to check your medical history where will it stop.

What if a gym asked peoples to prove they don't have a heart condition before joining , that's a plausible scenario. In a world apparently doing away with discrimination , there is definitely a discrimination against those without covid passports.
