"Good on you op. But please remember friendship is a two way street. And your maybe better off being comfortable with your own company than having to force a friendship. I’ve found my friend circle has decreased dramatically since I stopped being the first one to make contact. And realised that if someone doesn’t want to be in my life then that’s their choice and as far as I’m concerned their loss. Best of luck to you and I hope you find some genuine friends that respect you and value you " This is true I've lost friends I've known for yrs and found a few new ones that I know better over the yrs.

"Bumble has a 'bff' section purely for platonic friendship. You should give that a try. It is harder to make friends the older you get for a variety of reasons. A big help will be putting yourself back into situations where you're encountering lots of new people in an enclosed environment e.g evening classes. " Never heard of it ever will have a look thanks

"You could also try Glasgow meet up that organised events for people to attend to make friends. They also do online events which may be an easier way to start off Good luck " Where do you find these?
