Glasgow Green is a nice wee stroll on a crisp winter day.

Not Glasgow but Drumpelier Country Park is quite nice too.

You've got the obvious ones like Kelvingrove too...take a wee wander down along the river. Stay away from the cafés and cake though!

Better get used to it. With winter coming up it's only going to get worse.

The only good thing about out walking in the rain.... The warm bath at the finish line. x

I don't mind really, aslong as you have the proper waterproof gear on

Check out the Magnificent 11

It’s a four-part circular walk linking 7 parks in Glasgow’s Southside

Only problem with drumpelier Park is avoiding all the bird crap near the visitor centre

A walk from Glasgow botanic Gardens through to kelvinGrove Park and back up byres Road is nice. You can park around kirklees circus next to kelvinside acadamy.. Its a gentle hour and a bit walk

Always better to be protected from a bit of wetness.

You should try doing the streets near the art school for a work out. Up and down those steep gradients certainly works those legs!

Park at David livingstone Centre, Blantyre

Cross footbridge over Clyde then turn left

Follow Clyde footpath past Bothwell castle and up to Uddingston sports centre.

Re Crossthe Clyde and Follow roads up past Birnam salvage and back into Blantyre and nto

David livingstone centre.

If you just want a country route , turn back at Uddingston sport centre.

That a cafe at the easy end of the park does killer sausage rolls.

Search for Walking Highlands on that website you can see walks in your area if they’re listed and some further afield if you want something different. Also download the “MyCrew” app as there should be groups in your area that you could join if you’re looking for some people to walk with

Milngavie waterworks is a nice way to spend a wee bit of time going round.

Glasgow

The west highland way has some great paths and its easy to break it into segments.

Milngavie to Drymen is 12 miles of the 96mile trek but can always stop somewhere between if wanting shorter.

Alternatively also option of Mugdock Park circular if want small walks.

Then there is Kilpatrick Hills which is a great workout as you climb the hills.

Really it depends what your after. Short, Long, Scenic, Busy, Easy going, Heart pumping.

If need more suggestions of a particular type can always ask again as Guy knows quite a few.
