Just been talking with someone on here who claimed to be married and would only meet in hotels due to safety reasons. Wanted me to transfer money to go halfers. I said make the booking and send the screenshot and then I’d send my share. This couldn’t be done as she said she had time and money wasted before.

I suggested a no obligation coffee near mines. This was a big no no.

Wish there was a way to run a check on the account & sort see which bank it belonged to. That message has now been deleted on whatsapp

Could have been genuine and I could’ve got scammed. Stay vigilant folks

Unless you have the correct name for that account then it’s unlikely a payment would go through. My bank also limits how much can be paid to an unverified account.

I can never understand anyone who won’t spend time on a social meet. Lucky escape.

My bank won’t accept the transfer unless the name, Ac no & sort code all match the interbank files.

Found a website you can check a sort code. Tried my own and it was accurate. Just wish I’d screenshot the bank details now

Always go with your gut feeling.

I myself have used hotels for meets either I pay the room or the guy books it and I pay half or at least offer..but I can see why she would want your details on the hotel book for safety reasons.

Because it tells you exactly the branch and location. Be suspect if Nigeria came up

Anyone that gets scammed on a swinger site deserves to lose their money imo. You showed some self control , let your brain do the thinking and not your loin. If everyone done the same there should never be a problem. I blame the victims as its their due diligence that's ultimately failed.

Yup, agree with this pretty much. As harsh as some will think it is, he’s spot on.

My sympathies do lie with the ones of a certain age on dating apps being targeted for their loneliness and led up the garden path to be financially milked dry, especially during the lockdowns. But on a sex site, it would serve ya right.

More importantly, do guys really split the bill for hotels and such with the woman? That’s the most concerning thing about this entire thread! I’d never do that, whatever happened to chivalry…!!??

I'm confused how could you run a check on acc number and sort code that was never shared with you ?

I have yes.chivalry is opening a door or pulling out a chair.why wouldn't I pay for half if I'm using the room also?

As I said iv paid in full..iv paid half but yes iv also been refused my half of the payment also but I still offer.

Well yes If you Google what it means then the two examples given are opening a door and offering your jacket to a female, did you Google it to leave a little meow in your reply? It’s ok, il be chivalrous and overlook that

Chivalry, like many words, has more than one meaning in the city text that it’s use.

Also, I didn’t touch upon if you, as the female, offered to pay or not. I can’t see where you can pick at me here tbh, but if you want I can lend you my jacket to keep you warm as you do
