Ok, not looking to pick a fight here or cause any issues but Dave Chappelle has come under fire again from transgenders and genuinely want to understand a bit more on this.

I know a little about transgenders or so I think but I maybe completely ignorant to the daily struggles of the transgender community and I watched Dave's new special The Closer he talked a lot about the transgender community but I honestly didn't pick up on any genuinely hateful comments.

I would love to get some feedback from you all on your thoughts.

Did it go to far? Or is this an example of the media sensationalizing this out of proportion because drama is good for them?

Get your tin hat on OP.

My opinion, no it didn't go too far. Without wanting to spoil it for anyone yet to see it, he talks about a close relationship with a trans woman who was his friend. He is not transphobic, just a person expressing his honest opinion. Something that we used to be able to do without being called names in an attempt to shut down any kind of debate.

Id say this has been an ongoing thing for a while.

To boil it down you have a tiny percentage of the population wanting everyone to conform to their version of reality.

If you don't your a nazi a homophobe or just a general shit

I was having a conversation with a friends son who is gay and I was astonished when he told me that he has been accused of being transphobic when he wasn't interested in a transexuals advances towards him in a night club.

You couldn't make it up.

I'm all for people living their lives as they wish but some people really need to get a grip on reality

I have gay and lesbian friends who have been accused of this too.

Im friends with someone that transitioned near 20 years ago. She gets called a transphobe or a Terf on a near daily basis as she doesnt always agree with some of the suggestions put forward for the GRA. Usually by someone who isnt trans
