I'm not sure how I feel about Pattison taking on the role, but I'm not going to write him off until I've seen him in action. Personally, I think Christian Bale gave the best performance though.

Probably Bale. Affleck wasn’t as bad as I thought he be to be fair. Affleck is still Batman for the new Flash movie as well as Michael Keaton so technically there are 3 Batman’s coming up

In terms of who looks more comic book accurate, it's Ben Affleck.

He has the height, build and costume absolutely nailed on.

Christian Bale perfectly captured the character of Bruce Wayne.

Bale's films were far better.

Pattinson is a terrific actor and he's come a very long way since Twilight but he isn't anywhere near big enough to play Batman and pull it off convincingly.

I am buzzing for the film though. It looks properly dark and gritty. Filming in Glasgow was a stroke of genius given the Gothic architecture we have on our doorstep and Paul Dano will absolutely kill it as The Riddler.

Pattinson is one of the best young actors out there.

From The Lighthouse to Good Time he really had shown his range, and he's phenomenal.

He's a young Batman, and they're taking Inspiration from the Long Halloween series. I genuinely think this has the potential to be one of the best Batman movies ever.

He is excellent in both goodtime and The lighthouse, also liked him in The king.

Had him in the frame as a possible bond until he got batman, would be difficult to juggle 2 franchises like those.

Although someone further down in the thread mentioned Adam West and I loved watching that tv series (along with the cartoon animation) I had a wee aerial ‘deeleybopper’ thing for my first car that was Adam West/Batman themed but someone nicked it

I'd like to see them filming the more niche batman stories out there. Gotham By Gaslight for instance.

Marvel don't seem to mind taking risks with throwing their "lesser" one shot stories/characters into the spotlight in films or TV shows.

When DC do it they seem to favour doing it as animation, unless someone can correct me?

There was a Gotham By Gaslight animated film out a few years ago and at one time a computer game that was sadly cancelled. It would be cool to see an Elseworlds TV series.

He could be and is a great actor, he is gonna have a tough time as afleck and keaton are going to be playing batman at the same time. Pattison’s version has to establish a lot and is apparently introducing a new superman as well. Stories are there though so as long as Warner bros don’t rush it and turn it into a big mess again. Might work.
