Covid Restrictions in Hotels

Ayrshire

We're planning on a few nights away in Glasgow soon and hoping for some fun whilst away

Its just dawned on me though due to covid restrictions it might be really hard to sneek someone up to our room

Can anyone advise if hotels are taking names for track and trace or since they have guests details already if there just using that or anything else that may be a problem?

Mr

Was he able to go up without anything being asked of him?

I'll second what Elle said - it varies. I've been to two different hotels in the COVID era - one wanted only one guests details whilst the other fully interrogated us both - took copies of our driving licences, biometric data, national insurance numbers, asked what we'd had for breakfast, and frisked us up against the wall. At least that's what it felt like.

Sounds like quite the interrogation, you are lucky you never got locked out the room or had any such issues which required extra help from reception.

Highlands

Premier Inn's (from my recent experience) dont ask anything of folk walking in - just so long as they can get past the security door

No issues at the Village Hotel or at the Hilton Garden Inn (Glasgow).
