What’s everyone’s thoughts on speaking to other fabbers if you meet them in everyday life

For example if you only know a person from parties or clubs and you see them in Morrisons (other supermarkets are available) with their family, would you say hello to them?

Depends how well I know them, if I recognised someone I wasn’t too familiar with I’d never compromise their privacy especially if they were with family or friends I don’t know.

All depends on the connection you have. If you are friendly with them then I’m sure a hello wouldn’t go a miss, if you have seen them at a social or club from across the room then stopping them in Asda is a bit creepy.

Too many variables at play to answer the question directly

Was out for a meal and I seen a couple that I had a mmf and a mmmf with.

We just politely said hello and went out separate ways.

Personally I would acknowledge them the same way I do when I see a client- a smile, a nod, if they say hello I'd reply, nothing more, a complete separation from family life. Unless we're friends away from Fab (i.e I know them well enough for them to know my phone number and real name) I may stop and exchange pleasantries.

I would never acknowledge recognising someone on Fab I'd never spoken to either. I'm a big believer in firm boundaries between Fab and "real" life

This is all hypothetical situation _ased. Every time it would be different.

Good respectful judgement is required. i.e. dinnay be a creepy greasy man & dinnay be a dick about it either...

This did happen at Violate when it was open in Glasgow . There was a Mum, Dad & Daughter there , daughter would have been around 30 at the time . The dad was bent over a trellis table ass in the air - leather kilt lifter up over his back and hands tied to the table - Mum was smacking the fuck out his arse with a variety of paddles and crops - the daughter about 10’ was on a throne type chair scantly clad having nipples clamps and restraints attached - what is it they say a family that play together - stay together

What happens in fab stays in fab, never cross your swinging life with your regular life, it maybe a little rude to ignore someone you previously met but I think it should kind of be an unspoken rule

Somewhere over there

Recently had someone approach in a joint kitchen shared by my work and theirs when it was just us two and they said “I believe we have mutual friends of c & m”

It took me a couple of beats but realised what they meant and I appreciated the discreet way they broached the topic as they left it in my court to acknowledge or deny (even if out of embarrassment, should I choose)

They had spotted my lanyard which has a pic and that’s how they recognised me.

But referring to OP post- if they’re Witt family definitely no. If on their own and you know them well enough, you can at least say hi.

I agree with this, it’s dependent on how well you know the person / people and the circumstances of where / when you meet them.
