"Why don't folk turn up as they say they will. Sin x"

You need to pick the right guys - If I had a meet arranged, it would need something really important to stop me turning up. Especially as getting meet is so darned difficult

Problem is we don't know who the right people are until they've turned up (or not)! Only way to try and avoid it is to only meet well verified profiles, but that doesn't help genuine newbies!

I agree. Its difficult to know - but I guess thats the same in all walks of life, you only know when you know.

Anyway. Im a genuine newbie Im even happy to meet up at Costa or Starbucks for a coffee and chat. On me if you promise to give a glowing verification

Loads of differing reasons.

Some are even quite believable at times.

If i have a meet arranged and for some reason i can make it, i always let the person know and try to rearrange.

Saves everyones time.

Agreed! I've had to cancel once or twice, I've had poorly kids, dying dog, kept late at work, babysitter cancel etc, life can get in the way over the years. But I always message, explain and apologise, and I'd fully understand if they chose not to reschedule.

But I've never stood someone up, ghosted at the last minute etc, there's no good excuse for that (as opposed to cancelling before hand) xx

I usually let my girlies know if I’ve had a timewaster or if someone’s been rude or obnoxious.

I don’t think guys on here realise it’s a small world and girls talk to each other

I've just had to deal with a time waster already this morning. He changed his mind simply because I'm going to a group social. From what he said, he's feeling a wee bit put out! Lol x

Well said. I think a lot of men assume we're all in competition, we're all bitchy jealous hags who'd throw the next woman under a bus. When in fact there's a fantastic support network between women, and we look after our own!

Shame though because ruins it for rest of guys

To be fair, i had one woman cancel on me two days in a row.

it was due to nerves, the third day, she came along as we had spoken more.

She is now one of my verifications and me meet regularly.

Tut tut didn't you know he staked his claim when you agreed to meet, now you have no need, nor should you have any desire to meet anyone else, for any reason

Very few on here are genuinely looking to engage and meet up. We have had our fair share of timewasters, without naming and shaming.

I never agreed to meet him though. Men shouldn't assume, even if they do, that just because I'm chatting to him, that I'm going to meet him. We never had that conversation, the question of meeting never came up

Would never intentionally not turn up.

It’s extremely hard for single guys to

A) get a reply

B) earn the trust to get as far as a meet.

C) it’s bloody rude not too

I’ve been stood up/ghosted and lied to about meeting up. Is what it is.

Theres no escape for the serial fakes and timewasters

Ive had fingers burnt before.

Lessons learnt, if people dont pass certain criteria or convince me they're genuine i dont agree a meet.

Sadly newbies have ZERO chance no matter how good their pics and chat are, not verified by meeting or from a social?... its a big fat no. And cam veris mean fuck all, in fact if a profile has numerous cam veris but no meet veris, its an even bigger red flag that someone will be a noshow
