For me if its required I won't be entering "simples"

Private companies and organisations have no right to my medical info.

Against, my sons had both but only his 2nd has been registered (god knows how) so now cant use his season ticket until it is sorted and they said it could take weeks

I'm against it purely for the reason that it's government coercion to force people to have the vaccine if they want to do regular everyday activities.

The vaccine does not prevent anyone who has had it from catching Covid. It does not prevent anyone who has had the vaccine of transmitting Covid.

The vaccine protects most people against severe symptoms of the virus.

So none of it makes sense when the policy is interrogated

It's wrong but hopefully it isn't planned as a permanent thing for the rest of time.

There will be plenty places not bothering to fully comply and just check the occasional one. It could be a massive nail in the coffin for the pub and club industry.

Absolute balls: there’s no such thing as being under the radar these days , we are every single one of us identified by almost every function we carry out on our little screens every day.

Cracks me up all the bleating about this. We were thinking of going to CJs in the near future but probs won’t now. Not because we feel our civil liberties being undermined but just cause I can’t be arsed going to the bother of having to prove this , that or whatever

I'm neither ... but I had my vaccinations in england and have that code, but apparently runs out in 3 weeks?, but wont let me put them on the Scotland passport app, even though I now live here and registered with doctor? lucky I don't want to go anywhere at the moment

Saw a statement on Facebook debating the things people are anti about the vaccines.

Yes there is no proof about long term effects of it, and that will always be debated, but the people that think it's all about tracking and control don't seem to realise that there are easier ways for them to be tracked including their phones, the SIMs in them and the rants they put on social media.

I appreciate all views on the vaccines as everyone is entitled to one, but I have a conspiracy theorist friend who is normally VERY strongly anti vaccines, but even they have got the Covid ones, because they got hit hard by it.

And yes he did say he was targeted because of his anti-vac stance

As far as I'm aware a Covid passport doesn't show anything about one's fungal toes infections or haemorrhoids.

Basically a way for the government to fleece more money out of us as its certainly going to cost us money to renew those ID cards every 5 or 10 years. The driving licence is the perfect example. I won't be changing my paper licence into a photo card licence just so the government can charge me every year to renew , fuck that nonsense.

Is it because who you voted for does not have an immediate affect on the health of your nieghbour....just a thought?

Personally doesnt bother me, and for all the Freedom fighters out there, bin your phone, never buy of the web, discontect your satnav, don't log into any websites and stay out of dense populated areas or areas of a high security.

Then you might, just might stay off the radar. Just dont involve me or fight a fight on my behalf.

My freedom of choice for a start. I chose not to get a photo driving licence and the need to pay renewal fees every 10 years , it never stopped me driving into other towns.

Very strongly against. The first step on to the slippery slope towards a Chinese style Social Credit Score system. Governments do not like giving up powers once they have them and believe me, those in power would absolutely LOVE to introduce such a system if they thought they could get away with it.

Scary thing is that they just might get away with it, and not because of any great public appetite for it. But because hardly anyone appears to be paying any attention to what's going on.

Although this pandemic appears to have brought out quite the authoritarian streak in some people. They would probably think that it's a great idea .

Also and regardless of all of that, purely on an administrative level it be a nightmare to facilitate. I don't know what everyone thinks about the Kaiser Chiefs and their bizarre recent "wash your hands and give thanks to the great Pfizer" routine, but I'll tell you this. They predicted a riot, but I predict an absolute fucking SHIT SHOW when this goes live and it will end up being ditched after proving itself beyond all reasonable doubt to be unworkable, neverming it being ineffective and a total over reach of Government powers in the first place.

I’m confused! Which is it? The government once it has this power over us will never give it up. Or once it introduced the government will quickly ditch it?

It's option, you can if you want and that's how it should remain. Having a vaccine passport doesn't mean you don't have covid, I'd rather have people so PCR tests before being allowed in but only if they were more reliable

Not opposed to it if it gets things open and moving, but agree that private companies/organisations dont need my personal information. It should be kept 'in house ' with the NHS. It cant be that difficult for them to give you a certificate or an app or something confirming vacation. Just something else we have managed to make an arse of.

It's morally wrong really and unfair for people who don't want to be vaccinated. I'm double vaccinated myself but feel for the people who can't do anything.

It's going to be a hard winter for a lot of people mentally but now those who aren't vaccinated can't even go out with their mates on a night out. Does this mean more house parties again?

It's going to be another hit for the hospitality trade I fear.

Definitely think the government has got it wrong with this one.

The only thing about the passport that got me, is that I was fully registered for the current online status system, and could produce a PDF any time it was required.

But this new app comes in, try to sign in with my existing credentials. Nope it doesn't work, you have to fully re-register again and jump through hoops to do it.

You'd have thought they would have had the systems compatible in some way.

I’ve found the whole pandemic process to really highlight peoples IQ, here is the bit I hope some of you will bite at because the points above are laughable. There’s been references to nazi Germany which are that wide of the mark you deserve a forum ban and ones about how it’s being forced upon you and you aren’t willing to comply yet, here are things that you do comply with willingly and fail to question question :

Pay your council tax

Have to be certain ages to see certain films at the cinema

Put your bins out on specific days or they don’t get taken

Pay road tax for the car, MOT the car

Drive on one side of the road

Stop at red lights

Go at green lights

Pay to park your car

Wait in queues to pay for things at the shops.

Actually pay for things in shops

Wear a facemask to enter the fucking shop

Only have access to said shop when it is open, how inconvenient

Wear clothes

Pay money for clothes

Get a job to earn that money for those clothes

Pay tax on that money that you have worked for

Use that taxed money to buy food so you can stay alive

Actually be alive…

Need i go on? You comply with much more things in life that you fail to question, if you want to rebel, why not put that energy into something that matters? The fight against racism? Inequality? Poverty?

Or just you know, carry on crying online about something you aren’t going to change…and will ‘comply’ with anyway

and that my friend is where the lack of IQ comes into question. The drivers license youl flap about as ID contains more personal details…but that won’t fit your narrative huh
