"Finally got access to forums (new member, mandatory wait time). Hope everyone is well. I just wanted to 'get out there' and am still looking for my first verification (I understand it is important to prove genuine). I'm guessing that, for a single guy, clubs are the way forward both for getting a verification and getting known. I understand CJ's is the best place in Scotland and that Edinburgh currently has no active clubs. I can see there are mixed reviews on Kudos in Dundee...I figure I could still give it a go (nothing ventured...), so when are the best times? They advertise a lot of gay/bi times, but not much on swinging." Welcome newbie to the weird and wonderful world. Clubs are great and can be a great night, however numbers tend to be limited for single guys. If you're looking to integrate into the scene, get verified, and meet new people I'd actually suggest social meets over clubs. Less pressure, easy to attend, great fun, and they can lead to more (although best never to attend a social expecting it to lead to sex, let it be an unexpected happy bonus!) Xx

"Thanks for your reply. One of the first things I did was get photo verified. I have sent out a few messages now suggesting grabbing a coffee and a chat (and hopefully get a vefirication). Alas, no reply; at least, no one has taken me up on the offer so far. I have read plenty of relevant forum posts and understand that patience is key. " If you've asked to meet (even for a social) in a first message that's probably putting some off, take time to chat and build a rapport. Don't get hung up on verifications!
