ok need a wee bit of help its scott's birthday on the 16th sept and gonna book a hotel for two night and book a restaurant.

can anyone tell me where is a good restaurant to book ? love all types of food other than seafood

Blythswood hotel or hotel du vin at one Devonshire are the best in my experience xx

Jamies Italian is good…. well, we liked it.

Millenium Hotel on George Square is nice hotel, we stayed there for a social last year. Think we had a junior suite for around £120.

H, depends what kind of restaurant you are after, Cafe Andaluz off George Square is nice if you want Spanish, or Guys restaurant in Merchant City varied kind of Scottish Food or The Butcherhop bar and grill in Sauchiehall Street for steaks all v nice and you dont need a mortgage to go to them x

backing steve up on this....it was a lovley meal....tasty...not a huge choice but what there was..was lush.....

nice cocktails too

Had a good time at Sapporo Teppinyaki for my Mr's birthday - egg fried rice to die for!!

Citizen M is a lovely hotel and v reasonable x

If its scottish food then arisaig is a good bet . They were in hope street but think they moved - just google. There are 2 good ones on bothwell street - one italian and one brazillian - in the old post office building - but owned by same company. I'll check the names and post again.

viva brasil is good but so much food was stuffed !!! entertaining though lol

jamies is good too but my fave italian is piccilo mondo on argyll st - old fashioned setting and fab service and the food amazing !! romantic setting too to set up for the evening lol (but need to book) but if you want to splash out then take him to zen for a japanese where they entertain you at the table cooking the meals it is amazing entertaining and food brilliant xxxx

I would recommend the 78, or Saramago at the CCA, Stereo or Mono...Great healthy and ethical food at reasonable prices.

can i also recommend ingram wynd and also the restuarant in the old sheriff court in the merchant city i think its called citation.The new restuarant in buchanan st in what was once the town house is stunning its called Chopayra
