How to folk find it now compared to previous years. Is it better or harder to find genuine folk

Me too since 2009. Was amazing in the early months! I've moved about a bit area wise so seen so many changes and been on as a couple too.

Think there's basically a lot less "swingers" now and a lot of fakes, only fans etc etc....

Been off and on 6-7 years now, I would say it's much easier to meet now but do think the forum, especially the Scottish forum, is very much quieter now than years gone past. Maybe down to Fab and Swinging becoming much more main stream,where as years ago it was a tighter nit community so the social side was much stronger.

Years ago I was out socialising at least 3 nights a week with lovely ladies and couples from here....party invited at weekends, organised social events locally and lots of kinky hot fun . The dynamic of people has now changed in that there are too many dreamers, fake profiles and fantasists, no shows, delete profiles on day of arranged meets nowadays, which has caused a lot of these fun people to give up and leave fab..

Hopefully now the world is reopening again, the fun days of Fab shall return

I have been on and off for over 10 years in different guises and I believe it's just luck. You meet people who you get on with and have a good spell and then it goes quiet or you have a few disappointments. The pandemic has obviously had a huge impact.

I have been disgusted by the bile on the forum. Some people use it for their political rants, even though there is a political forum they still use the Scottish one to pour their bitterness. But other than that always keep in mind that this is for a relief from life so if it is not fun then it's time to go.

Been on and off since 2008 met some amazing people might some right assholes too but for the most part the friends I’ve made and the social side of fab is why I stay, when I joined fab I’d split feom a long term abusive relationship and needed to find myself and be more confident sexually more than anything and fab was perfect place to explore and everyone knew exactly where they stood, on pof it’s all mixed messages and had a few guys think they were in a relationship where I’d said at the time I just wanted it casual and I was the asshole apparently ! So a friend pointed me in the fab direction and it was just what was needed at the time, I prefer to be in a monogamous relationship it’s just personal choice for me, but when I’m single I know if I want to dip my toes in the water then fab is the easiest way to do that without anyone getting mixed messages my fab friends I’ve found to be a lot more open, understanding and supportive about so many things that my vanilla friends just want to brush away and not talk about. If it wasn’t for the social side of fab I defo wouldn’t be back on the site tbh cause let’s face it the dating apps nowadays are far easier to get laid on that here

I only found the Scottish forum yesterday, everyone seems genuine and supportive!

I think what's changed over the years is people can now set up profiles on a whim before they really decide they want to do it. Also, some try and get to know someone over text or judge them on a photo. Back in the day, you'd go and meet them before you decided anything, you'd commit more.

11 years this year found everything to be good up till last year I think with fab going in to the news high profile and lockdown it brung in a lot off people harder to tell who’s genuine and who’s just playing at keyboard wanking

Also cam vers and such just got hand out left and right and fake vers

You know profile 3-4 weeks old meet 6 woman

Profile has 0 context and all cock pics

Start following the ver trail and leads to profile hiden and such

It's definitely not as good as it used to be. The website needs an overhaul and modernized.

Covid probably hasn't helped so hopefully now things are opened up again people can start having social events and get a bit of community going.

Been here almost from the start of fab and yes as with everything in life it has changed somewhat however the biggest change is probably me and how I use the site now compared to all those years ago .. but what I would say over the years I have found it no harder or easier to get meets in saying that I have hit the big 50 so I may be more limited to who I can message and meet lol

I've only been on Fab for about three years, but even in that time, I feel like it's become a lot more mainstream. I talk to people, who aren't swingers, have never been on the scene; but they were bored of 'traditional' dating sites. Which is fair enough, but it doesn't suit my needs. I joined many moons ago when there were merely 400 people on the site,so it's certainly changed. I've seen many people come and go. Some good, some not so.

I've gained experience in that time by the people I've met and chatted too whether that's been good or bad.

My main objective in joining Fab in the early days was too throw around some light- hearted banter. I just got lucky sometimes.

I think Fab has changed but I've changed too.

Always been the way I look at it, this is a very large cross section of life. In any pub, club or cafe. Some you fancy, some make you laugh, some you wouldnt piss on if on fire and some that just are good friends.

The site hasn't changed one Iowta in years either in the individual using it or what individuals expect from it.

I like it, but the person above does have a point, it could do with a bit of investment in technology.

Been on and off fab just over 10 years, been part of a couple and like now a single female. I’ve made some amazing friends who i’ll remain friends with if I was to leave fab, met some lovely and entertaining people and some down right nasty ones too. Such is life tho! The one big difference is the amount of socials and house parties, there was always a few different ones every week or maybe being older, more cautious I just don’t get invited to them lol

But maybe now that we are out of lockdown people will look to socialise or have house parties where a bubble is formed until everyone does feel that little bit safer about going out and meeting.

I was on around 2010 great time people I met were fantastic and it seemed to be easier to arrange socials/ parties etc. So many single males averse to sharing and lots of fakes now. However locally cjs etc and the English club scene is even better I'd say. Just discovered a camping place in scotland too for people on the scene- be into that next year!

Left recently due to ill health and the site becoming more vanilla and flakey

Have come back for last hurrah but but taking it my own pace

Me and my Daz white shirts have been on and off of fab over the years, various user names later I find the site the same, the people have changed, though still come across a few folk here that I’ve met and chatted to in the past. Seem to be a lot more fakes and time wasters about now, but that is the same on most sites

This has a been a rollercoaster ride from singles profile to couples profiles back to singles profiles it's pretty much went slowly down hill

But I will always give the site a chance to see what they come up with to make it better

Why would anything the site does make it better? It will still be about people finding other people to meet with...that's on us as individuals to negotiate
