As in organised 1s or social meets?

Organised 1s used to be great only 3 or 4 a yr always greatly organised and behaved.

Now I wouldn't attend.

Social meets I do always wouldn't have set with anyone before a social meet.

Love them, quite simply!

From one on one prior to private meets, to just meeting to chat, to attending organised ones and even organising them myself. I've had some disasters and I've met some fantastic people!

Always a social meet first if one to one... organised socials can be a great way of meeting folk you might never have

Makes sense. Got to be an attraction for people. No harm in meeting for a tea

They serve their purpose, ie to be sociable and to meet others socially.

Don’t get why ppl head along to socials and sit in the corner or stand at the bar and don’t chat to anyone

Whistle Dixie

I've attended 2 or 3 well organised Socials in the early days of Fab. Great way in socializing with like-minded others.

Who knows maybe attend another at some point.

We attended a social a few years ago and someone complained later on forum that no one spoke to them... They had sat in a corner all night and made no effort to interact As for the OP's question I like attending organised socials, also like organising them

I’m always up for a social meet, coffee, cake and swapping stories is a great way to spend some time with likeminded people regardless if there’s an attraction or not.
